Grand Ole RV Park has full Hook ups, 30/50 amp., laundry, showers (didn’t use), nightly entertainment outside the “lodge” office and a small restaurant and market inside.
We were here with a group, and although our site wasn’t next to the others, it was convenient enough to be OK. All gravel roads and sites, but ours (35) was level and hookups were convenient. Our site had plenty of grass space on both sides.
The sites are layed out different than most campgrounds. Some are pull in, others back-in. We had an RV directly in front of us in our pull-in site, but it was not a problem.
The location is convenient to get to Opry Mills, Grand Ole Opry, etc. and yet out of the busyness.
Now what is BAD about the campground. There is an ACTIVE railroad line right outside the park, and it is noisy enough that when you are outside, you have to stop talking till it passes. Sleeping with the A/C fan on constant helped us to sleep fine. It was dry weather when we were there, but there were signs about flooding in the park posted, and I have seen reports of that. Sites 104- 133 are up on the hill next to the road, and there is no grass in that area. sites 59-63 are parallel to road, and also gravel, and 33 is right on the road, which is awful for sitting outside.
There are a lot of “buddy sites” with 30 amp. service, so this would be a good place for gathering with friends. The rate that we paid was 37.70 per night with taxes.
