Lake Aire RV Park and Campground was a beautiful park located just south of downtown Charleston, South Carolina.
They have 92 large, level sites with picnic tables and fire rings. They also have 18 tent sites. Our kids really enjoyed the playground and pool. We enjoyed a nice quiet night by the campfire.
Amenities also include: a stocked private lake (catch and release), public use charcoal grills, a large pavilion, horseshoe pits, bocce ball and FREE wireless internet. The campground is also pet-friendly!
Lake Aire RV park is about 20 minutes from historic downtown Charleston. It makes an excellent base camp for one-day trips to local plantations, Ft. Sumpter, historic Charleston or Folly Beach. There are many points of interest nearby. You could probably spend several weeks exploring this part of the state.
We will be returning. We have been to mostly all the parks in the Charleston area and this one was the friendliest, cleanest, and still “natural.”
