This is a great campground just a short distance off I-95. This is a beautiful campground, and appears to be fairly new. Very quiet and restful.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had questions about what to see and do in the area and they were very helpful.
Campsites have a picnic table and fire rings, There are lakefront sites, pull-thrus and full hookups, including cable tv. Wifi is free and we had no trouble getting a good signal.
The facilities were clean and well maintained. They have a very nice “resort-style” swimming pool, an activity pavilion, a community fire pit, horseshoe pit, and a fishing dock. There is a well-stocked general store with groceries and camping supplies. They also have a small cafe.
Right next to the campground is a 320-Acre nature reserve. Sergeant Jasper Park has hiking trails, elevated boardwalks, canoe and kayak rentals, playground, picnic shelters and a lakefront gazebo.
The campground is convenient to Hilton Head and the historic cities of Beaufort and Savannah. It make a great overnight stop or a base for exploring the area.
How far is the campground from Beaufort, SC. What are the rates and accommodations for RV’s? What attractions are nearby? Are you pet friendly?
