We had the pleasure of meeting some of the staff at the Savannah South KOA and they were a sheer delight. They were enthusiastic and friendly and extremely willing to help.
We were more than happy with our stay! They have won several awards for their improvements and seem to be striving to keep the improvements going.
The campground has large pull thrus, wifi, cable tv, fishing, a large pool (in season) a coin-operated RV wash and plenty of recreation. Be sure to check out the waterfowl that flocks to the 35-acre fishing pond. Rent a boat here and join them for a relaxing float.
A nice feature is their sightseeing tours… You choose the day for your Savannah tour and they will have the tour bus pick you up in front of the office at 9:00AM and drop you off around 5:00PM. Tickets available for purchase in the office. The Old Town Trolley offers a Paula Deen Tour as well that includes dinner at her restaurant Lady & Sons with VIP seating and no waiting in line! Your own transportation to Downtown Savannah is required for the Paula Deen Tour.
The scenery is beautiful and the serenity is priceless. They are located less than a mile from I-95, exit 87 in Richmond Hill, Georgia.
