Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy.com

This is a really nice KOA campground that people could stay at for awhile. It’s convenient to I-40 (Exit 148), and about ten miles from Little Rock. They have a pool, hot tub and sauna (both inside a clean little house adjacent to the pool), good cable and wifi (2 bucks extra). We got here at noon and most of the sites were already taken. This campground is advertised as being a quarter of a mile from a water park, it’s really more like a three quarter mile. Too far and the street is a bit busy to let young kids walk there. Lots of nice Class A’s and fifth wheels, plus a few Class C’s and one little 20 MPG van (ours).

There are a half-dozen sites right off the pool, which cost about five bucks extra, but have gas grills, wide concrete pads, and nice porch furniture. The rest of the sites are all shaded, too, but these ones are definitely worth the extra money. Great little gift shop inside with a counter of Clinton (library and Presidential years) memorabilia; a nice touch! It’s over 90 degrees as I sit here writing this review outside on the concrete pad, but a breeze and the shade make it a wonderful, and comfortably cool, experience. The owner is a friendly, gregarious, and joking dude. This place is worth visiting, at least overnight. Reserve the good sites, if you call, because they go fast. (People came in after us asking for the last site, which we just took.)

  1. My husband and son and I stayed here in our tent one night before going to the LR Zoo the next morning. When we pulled in there were RV’s everywhere and we were not sure if it was going to be so great. You know… little tent in the midst of these huge homes on wheels! lol! The tent sites were further back away from the office and up close to the woods. It was much more private and quiet up there. Down the row from us were the 4 or 5 Kamping Kabins. They were close together but kind of away from the rv’s also. Being in a tent we had no bathroom (obviously) and although we enjoyed being away from things this also meant we were away from the bathrooms! Maybe 1/2 a football field away give or take. Not bad but also not fun after dark!

I don’t know if anyone else is this way but when I am going to be camping, I like to know there will be a clean bathroom with hot showers. I can say the bathroom was nice. Very clean. The hot water took a bit to get flowing but was great after letting the faucet run a few minutes. We stayed in September but it was still pretty warm. The pool was open and felt great, although we were the only ones to use it. We felt comfortable leaving our tent and bedding at the camp while we went off to eat dinner. Returned to find everything in place still. Nice staff, nice park… just busy. Health sauna, playground, gift shop and ice cream parlor. Great experiences for the price would not have any problems staying here again.

  2. I stayed in this park one night in a 38′ fifth wheel. It was rainy weather and our site was muddy. The site was so tight that when we left we had to back out of the “pull through” site. I would say this is on the lower end of the KOA parks.
I would not stay there again.
