Natural Springs Resort – New Paris, OH

We love this park. For us, it’s the perfect location… just far enough from the highway to feel remote, but it’s only about 3 miles from Richmond, Indiana.

The park is just off I-70, exit 156 right on the Ohio/Indiana border. Richmond has plenty of restaurants and shopping.

The park is clean and well maintained with lots of nice sites with full hookups. They have a nice heated pool, a small lake with a beach, paddle boats and kayak rentals and a nice little store that stocks all the basics.

There are plenty of activities here too, especially on the weekends. They limit the number of seasonal guests, which is also a plus.

The staff is very nice and willing to answer our questions. We recommend Natural Springs Resort to all our friends!

Scenic Hills RV Park – Millersburg, OH

Scenic Hills RV Park - Millersburg, OhioScenic Hills is a nice RV park with large, level open gravel sites on a grassy hilltop. It was easy for us to get around, even with our larger rig.

The campground is clean and well maintained but does not have shower/restroom facilities. Each site has a fire ring (free firewood!) and a picnic table. Sites are full hookups and some are pull thrus. The campground now also has wi-fi although I’m not sure if it’s free.

Enfield/Rocky Mount KOA – Enfield, NC

Enfield/Rocky Mount KOA - Enfield, North CarolinaThis KOA is located about 18 miles south of Roanoke Rapids and 16 miles north of Rocky Mount, about 1/2 west of I-95 exit 154.

The park is clean and well maintained with both shady and sunny sites and level pull throughs in a quiet country setting. This KOA is a great halfway stop on your way to Florida.

Lakeside Camping – Island Pond, VT

Lakeside Camping - Island Pond, VermontWhat a beautiful location! The campground is on small lake way up in northeastern Vermont, near the Canadian border. We stayed here for several days last August.

Lakeside Camping is very quiet, except for an occassional train. There are a good number of sites right along the lakeshore. The sites near the lake are mostly open with a few smaller trees. There is a more wooded section of the campground with many sites overlooking the lake.

Strawberry Park – Preston, CT

I enjoy camping at Strawberry Park, they offer a lot of activities and amenities. They are a little expensive but with all they have to offer you can see why.

I wish they would cater a little more to the regular campers, they seem to favor the seasonal sites and they are slowly filling up the park with them. That is very disappointing to me as I have been going here for 15 years and would love to continue going for a lot more.

Danforth Bay Camping Resort – Freedom, NH

Danforth Bay Camping Resort appears to be a relatively new campground located in northeastern New Hampshire near the Maine border.

What a wonderful place to stay! Although we stayed there for a week last fall, we didn’t want to leave. The campground has great facilities, well maintained and very clean. The staff is friendly, courteous and extremely helpful.

The sites are really very spacious, and some have great views of the lake. There are some great pull-thru sites for larger rigs with just a short walk to the beach. Full hook-up with cable tv included! The property is well maintained and security is very visible at night.

The campground has a well stocked store with a good supply of groceries and camping needs. The pool is fairly new and there were tons of activities when we stayed there last fall. You can rent boats, canoes, kyacks to use on the lake. Golf carts are also available to rent to drive around the campground.

This is a great family-oriented campground. We plan on making reservations again for this fall.

Suncrest RV Resort – Moses Lake, WA

Suncrest RV Resort - Moses Lake, WashingtonI’m sure this is a great park in the summer. During wintertime (I’m guessing this would be the period of October – March), the park has reduced services.

During winter, no one is available in the office; you must self register. During that time, you must pay with cash or check only. Also, there is a posted sign specifying that you must pay cash to get the Good Sam discount. I’m not sure if this is enforced during the spring and summer, when credit cards are accepted.

Harris Beach State Park – Brookings, OR

1

Harris Beach State Park - Brookings, OregonHarris Beach is a beautiful State Park with a camping area located on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean!

The sites are well shaded in a forest of stately mature pines. Sites are large but have water/electric hook-up only, though they do have a dump station. A limited number of sites have a view of the ocean. The property and facilities are neat, clean and well maintained.

Crown Villa RV Resort – Bend, OR

1

Crown Villa RV Resort - Bend, ORCrown Villa is one of the classiest campgrounds we have ever stayed at. The sites are finished with brick pavers and are very large with plenty of room. The installed landscape lighting really adds a nice touch at night! The staff is extremely friendly. We were escorted directly to our site and they even helped us park.

The atmosphere here is a peaceful elegance with rolling grass, large shade trees and plenty of flowers and landscaping. Bathrooms, laundry and other facilities are clean and well maintained.

Midway RV Park – Centralia, WA

2

Midway RV Park - Centralia, WAMidway RV Park is a small, quiet, well maintained campground with a very friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The park is centrally located about half-way between Seattle and Portland, and less than a mile off I-5.

From the moment we entered the park we noticed a very clean, well landscaped property. There was plenty of grass and shade trees throughout the park, and neatly manicured shrubs between each site. We’ve got a fairly large RV with tow but access into our pull-thru site was a breeze.
