Carlsbad KOA - Carlsbad, New MexicoWe just got back from spending a few days at Carlsbad KOA… What a great resort campground!

Calsbad KOA appears to be fairly new and the entire property and facilites are clean and well maintained. The park owners are very friendly and seem to have taken great effort to have a very attractive, well designed facility.

Neshonoc Lakeside Camping Resort – West Salem, WI

2

When visiting Wisconsin, we always try to camp at Neshonoc Lakeside Camping Resort. It’s beautifully located on 600 acre Lake Neshonoc.

Some of the 200+ camp sites are located near the lake, while others (our favorites) are situated on the bluff overlooking the lake and region. The staff has always been friendly and made us feel welcomed. The grounds are well groomed and the bathrooms and showers immaculate. There is a pool, playgrounds, cabin rentals, boat rentals and more.

Sugar Ridge RV Village & Campground – Danville, VT

2

Way up in Vermont’s “Northeast Kingdom” is one of the state’s newest campgrounds, Sugar Ridge RV Village and Campground. We had the opportunity to stay here for a few days last summer just to check it out. Several of our friends had stayed there and recommended Sugar Ridge to us.

We packed up on a Friday night to head up early Saturday morning. The ride up I-91 along the Connecticut River is absolutely beautiful. I-91 runs along the Vermont’s side on the Connecticut River with views of both Vermont’s Green and New Hampshire’s White Mountains. Once we got to St. Johnsbury, the campground was about 5 miles west on US Route 2.

Rusnik Family Campground – Salisbury, MA

Rusnik Family Campground is located off US Route 1 and about 3 miles from the beach in Salisbury, Massachusetts. It is a campground with 150 open and wooded sites.

They have a pool, kid’s playground, horseshoes, rec hall, a mini golf course (which could use a little TLC), and laundry facilities. The bathrooms were clean as is the campground itself. Most of the sites are water/electric, but no sewer that we could see. They have a couple of dumping stations (one where you have to back in to dump).

Phoenix RV Park – Salem, OR

Phoenix RV Park is an above average campground… with paved roads with level, concrete pads and patio areas on every site.

They have 107 RV Spaces, 30/50 amp full service hookups (including cable TV), a laundry room, showers, a nice recreation room, a small playground. Pets are welcome here too!

The property is nicely landscaped with frequently mowed grass and well maintained walking areas. The park employees are very friendly and available to answer your questions.

Noccalula Falls Park & Campground – Gadsden, AL

1

Noccalula Falls Park & Campground is owned and operated by the city of Gadsden and located about 5 miles from downtown. The property is one of the cleanest that we’ve ever stayed at.

Campsites a good size and are on level concrete pads. Some are full hook-ups with cable TV. All facilities are very clean and well maintained.

My Brother’s Place – Houlton, ME

1

My Brother’s Place is a small campground very near the Canadian border, located just off US Route 1, about 2 miles from I-95, exit 302.

The park is clean and well maintained. The sites are large with plenty of room and most are pull-thrus on grass. The campground has plenty of trees but the sites themselves are relatively open and sunny. Interior roads at this campground are a little narrow and larger rigs may brush against a lower branch or two.

Bellaire Woods Campground – Savannah, Ga

2

What a nice place to stay when traveling the I-95! Bellaire Woods Campground is very neat, clean, and quiet. Friendly operators too! We were escorted to our site after we checked in. There is plenty of room for big rigs with slides if you call in advance.

The campground is located on GA Route 204, about 2.5 miles west of Interstate 95, exit 94.

Paradise Park Resort – Old Orchard Beach, ME

0

Paradise Park is a nice little campground located about 4 miles from I-95 (exit 36) and less than a mile from Old Orchard Beach. The sites were full hook-ups but a little too close together (but that’s typical of most campgrounds in the area). Our site was fairly level and shaded.

The campground employees were friendly and helpful. Amenities included a heated pool and two hot tub, rec room, game room and a free fishing pond.
