American RV Resort – Albuquerque, NM

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy

We made a reservation at American RV Resort for a one night stay on a return trip. A family emergency occurred and we had to head back home early and travel straight through. We called more than 72 hours in advance to cancel our reservation. We were told that there would be a cancellation fee.

When I received the invoice for the refund they had charged me $100 cancellation fee on a $70 reservation. I have no problem with paying a cancellation fee, but this was outrageous and in my opinion just plain theft.

As a business owner myself, this is a very bad business practice.

Cabin RV Park – Big Cabin, OK

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy

Cabin RV Park is perfect for the traveler that just wants to stay over night. The campground is right off the Interstate 44.

It’s clean, with all gravel level lots and full hook ups. It’s too bad there aren’t more spots like this. There were only ten spots, but they filled up over night.

The folks inside the business were very friendly and helpful. We remembered our heated water hose, but forgot an extension cord. They were kind enough to lend us one.

Because there are only 10 spots, I highly recommend making a reservation.

Kentucky Horse Park Campground – Lexington, KY

Kentucky Horse Park Campground | I-75 Exit Guide

If you admire horses then you are going to absolutely LOVE the Kentucky Horse Park Campground located in Lexington. I recently finished a two week horse show there with my eleven year old daughter, who is a show jumper, and it was delightful!

The campground has over 250 sites with 50/30/20 amp electric and water. All the sites are 55′ paved back-ins with fire rings and picnic tables. There are two dump stations as you exit the property. They also have a grocery store, gift shop and two bathhouses.

They have planned recreational activities including square dancing in the recreation pavilion. Also, lighted tennis and basketball courts, and a junior olympic-size swimming pool.

The campground also has electric primitive and primitive sites for those wishing for a more rustic stay.

Plus, they have nice, strong wireless Internet!

The Parkway RV Resort and Campground is an oasis in the northern California central valley along I-5. (Exit 619).

The campground is well manicured, very clean, with tree shaded sites and large grass areas between sites. You are NOT stacked on top of the next RV.

Amenities include a pool, gift shop, restrooms/shower, a 24/7 laundry, a clubhouse and wifi.

It is a sweet park only 1/2 mile west of the freeway noise. It’s all about rest and relaxation. They even have wine tasting (by appt) plus a great little convenience/gift store with collectable Fenton items.

We will definitely stay again!

Pikes Peak RV Park is a great little campground with super friendly hosts.

The place is immaculate, very well located (close to Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs.) there’s a trail behind the campground for walking or biking. A sweet babbling creek lulls you to sleep at night.

Amenities include: full hookups 30 amp/50-amp service, back-in sites, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi access, restrooms & showers, and a dog park.

Highly recommend this dab of nature tucked into the urban area.

The Fitz RV Resort – Dripping Springs, TX

The Fitz RV Resort has been amazing! We loved it from the moment we got here.

Pam, the manager, is very helpful and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. This is honestly one of the most beautiful RV parks we have stayed at.

The sites are nice and spacious so you don’t feel cramped next to your neighbors and the premium sites have even more space. The clubhouse was a nice surprise with amazing showers, laundry, and a cool space to hangout or work in. Looking forward to when the pool and skygazing deck are complete!

We absolutely love that it is out in the hill country away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but not too far that it’s a pain to get there.

It has plenty of attractions nearby like Padernales state park. And can we just say, we love how dark it gets at night! We love that there are no bright lights around and you can see the stars beautifully.

We will definitely come back!

Ozark RV Park is beautifully nestled in tall trees, and it’s a perfect location to experience the fun, beauty, friendliness and peace in Mountain View.

The park offers cleanliness and care. The owners, Donna and Mark, are such fun, nice accommodating people. There is a dog park on site, laundry room, bathhouse, picking shed and walking access to the Ozark Folk Center. Town is a stones throw away.

We camped at Ozark RV Park in a 34’ Motorhome in site 12.

Crossville \ I-40 KOA | RVBuddy.com

Crossville KOA has easy access off of I-40. It is in the middle of 2 exits, so you can get off of one and return on the one in the direction that you are leaving. It is located on the Cumberland Plateau and has nice mountain views.

We found this campground very peaceful. They have a nice swimming pool, and a great rec room with coffee in the morning. The sites are spacious and can accommodate large rigs, small, tents and has some very nice cabins.  There is a nice campground store that has a little bit of everything. There is catch and release fishing pond for the children in the ponds, a very nice tent area, a community fire pit and individual fire pits at the rv spaces. They’ve got a game room too.

The individual tiled shower rooms were very clean as was the campground. The management gave it a relaxing homey feeling. Can’t wait to return and this time it will be for more than one night.

Old Stage Campground – Madbury, NH

Old Stage Campground | RVBuddy.com

I have been camping for over 30 years with my family and friends. Every year we (along with several other couples) would go on trips to different campgrounds and campground resorts. A few years ago we went to Old Stage Campground and I, along with my husband, felt like we had been going there forever!

We decided we did not want to camp anywhere else (much to our camping friends dismay) and put our names on the list for seasonal. The owners were so very accommodating, friendly, eager to please and helpful to us. They were part of the reason we decided to settle there. They welcome everyone and are very caring about their campers.

Old stage is a very friendly campground and I am so very happy to have found it, I can’t wait for next year to start all over again. It is truly a friendly and family oriented campground.

Crossroads RV Park – Mohave Valley, AZ

Crossroads RV Park | RVBuddy.com

My husband and I have found our new “quiet time” place…  Crossroads RV Park.

We occasionally like to sneak away and have alone time. On a venture to something all together unrelated, we ran across this Crossroads RV Park tucked away from the City. At first I must say I was not to sure. Then after staying there for a weekend I must tell you, we almost felt like we were in our own private little world.

It was not inconvenient to be tucked away from the City at all. In fact it was fantastic. So quiet, so peaceful, yet we awoke in the morning refreshed and went to a local Casino for breakfast and a few slots. It was close enough without being right on top of us. The Park has almost a spiritual glow as the sunset that first night and the cactus variations were amazing. Everything was clean and seemed to be in order. (to me one of the most important things.. clean shower/bathroom)

We enjoyed our stay immensely and will be back. With friends in tow. Thank you for a fantastic get away Crossroads.
