Osen’s RV Park and Campground – Livingston, MT

Osens RV Park - Livingston, MT | RVBuddy.com

Peter and Mindy are wonderful hosts. We lived at the campground for five months this summer (2015). Being novices at living in a trailer full-time we didn’t quite know what to expect. We almost took for granted the constant vigilance and dawn to dusk work that our hosts put in.

Having moved south for the winter, we appreciate even more the amenities and cleanliness at Osen’s. Having experienced a variety of campgrounds in several states from Montana to Idaho and down to New Mexico, we have come to realize that not every camp host is as caring and helpful as Peter and Mindy.

This goes from the cleanliness of the bath/shower house to the little dog park, the grounds and the oversight when temps dipped below freezing. Peter makes his last rounds at 11 PM, checking that all is secure. This included turning off the water and unhooking our hoses when the forecast called for a hard freeze. They are always happy to greet their guests with a smile, with a ready supply of quarters for the laundry room or delivering your mail directly to your site. This often happened when we got home from a late shift. When Peter saw that we were home, within minutes his little golf cart was at our door.

This may not be the fanciest of RV parks – no pool, no patio for barbecues, no game room – but none of that matters if your priority is a clean, safe, quiet place to relax on your way to Yellowstone NP or a layover while traversing I-90. These folks are highly recommended. Give ’em a shout. You’ll be glad you did.

Travelers World Carefree RV Resort – San Antonio, TX

We stayed at Travelers World Carefree RV Resort in our 33′ 5th wheel. Our back-in site was shady and spacious. The park has areas with trees and without.

The location is convenient to walk and ride bikes on the Mission Reach bike path. You can go to missions, King William Historic District, the downtown River Walk area, and beyond downtown to the beautiful Museum Reach of the River Walk.

We especially enjoyed seeing Mission San Jose which is just down the street from the RV park. It is called “The Queen of the Missions.”

Travelers World is centrally located to restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing. San Antonio is a fun place to visit.

Pleasant River is a beautiful find private campground. It’s a nice, family oriented wooded campground.

They have trails and a novice river hike. There are also special events, including cookouts and they have a pool and a small store. The trails were perfected by a big kid (the owner Michael) for kids to roust about.

I felt like family here. They do take pride in their business.

Tremont Family Resort - Tremont, TN | RVBuddy.com

Tremont Outdoor Resort is a great place! It’s the kind of place you’ll want to take family.

You do not have to worry about other campers causing trouble. You will be asked to leave if there are any problems… fighting, yelling, things that are not the way that you should act. They want campers to act nice so all campers enjoy their stay. It’s not a place for partying, fighting and bad language. As long as you do not cause trouble the staff will not bother you. They just want a safe campground for all.

This is the only campground we will stay at, no trouble, staff great, and they treat people with respect anywhere and you will have great time.

We have camped many years, and this is the first time that we have felt unsafe.

There is no security, and there is no one on duty or available after 9:00 pm. The unit next to us had 4 adults and 2 children. They held a drinking party with people in another unit, outdoors next to our “bedroom” until 10:30 pm. They parked in our space, crammed up next to our unit! Then they all drove somewhere, leaving their children alone, and returned at 1:45 am, honking horns and blinking headlights until 2:15 am. They were speaking Spanish which is not one of the 3 languages in the park brochure.

The unisex restrooms/showers were unmarked and confusing and very creepy with drunks running around. No one responded to our complaints the next morning. They said the owners were not around that day. No one responded to the frantic message we left on their answering machine in the night.

A cockroach fell on my face while I was taking a Shower! That pretty much says it all about this campground. No… there’s more and worse. There’s a coded lock on the door (and a sign) to keep undesirables out of the bathrooms at night, but someone in the park props the door open every night so they come on in anyway. I tried to take a shower at 11pm, then midnight, then fell asleep and finally took a shower at 3am.

Hot shower. That’s all I can say. Be careful… in all the nooks and crannies and corners of the shower/laundry house are spiders. I dropped my toothbrush by the sink and thank God I looked before I stuck my hand between the sink and wall.

It is not an experience I would ever care to repeat in my life. I’m an RVer, a traveler. After the reviews I read elsewhere, I expected a good experience, not the experience of staying in a seedy place like this. This place has taken a huge turn for the worse.

Riverside RV Resort and Campground – Bartlesville, OK

Riverside RV Resort and Campground is a very nice park.

The owner, Robin, was very accommodating and the park staff worked hard to make our stay enjoyable. For a mid-size park the sites are level and spacious.

They have 68 sites, full hook-ups, pull thru’s, and 20-30-50 amp service. Amenities include laundry facilities, showers, free cable TV, a gift shop, swimming pool, a climate controlled recreation room/clubhouse, and free high speed wireless internet.

This is our second time to stay here and we recommend it for a night or a week, as we did. And if we are ever back this way we will stay here again.

This was the worst camping experience that we have ever had.

There was no security and management was unresponsive to concerns and complaints. We were next to a unit with 4 adults and 2 children, all speaking Spanish which was not one of the 3 languages on the rules brochure. They held a drinking party outside, next to our “bedroom”, until 10:45. Then they left the children alone and got in their vehicles. They returned at 1:45, very drunk, and were honking and flashing headlights until 2:15. They parked their vehicles in our space, behind our rv. We were frightened and tried calling the office. It closed at 9 and there was no response to the message we left. Even the next morning, we were told that management was not expected in that day.

Also, the unisex restrooms/showers were confusing and not marked as unisex. It was creepy with drunks running around.

Mckinney Campground – Acworth, GA

This is the worst campground I have been to! When you drive in to check in you have to wait 45 minutes or longer to get a parking tag and then you will be harassed each time you enter and leave by the host staff in the front building.

We had a group come to relax and enjoy the lake but instead we we harassed by the staff the whole time. They are more concerned about the parking tags then the state of the camp ground. The men’s toilet needed cleaning the whole weekend we were there no staff came by to unplug the toilet. The shower houses were nasty with mud and trash in the stalls and floor. The camp sites were never cleaned we had trash in our fire pits for the previous campers and the shore line had fishing trash, clothing, decomposing food, and other nasty trash on it and around the campsites.

I would not recommend this camp ground. If you like being harassed the go to Mckinney Camp ground
