Crystal Hot Springs – Honeyville, UT

My family along with some friends stayed at Crystal Hot Springs campground for a weekend last summer.

The campground is divided into two sections (one with power and one without) and we stayed in the without power section. I would suggest this area for anyone going there, as the section with power was very small and I think frequently packed in the summer.

The pool area was OK. It was 90 degrees on the day we got there and my husband said the hot springs pool was boiling and the regular pool was freezing. They also had a really nice water slide.

All in all it would be an OK place to stop for the night or a two day trip.

The one thing that made this a good trip was the company that came with us and the live band at the park that night. I think the price was quite reasonable as well.

Pelican Roost RV Park – Jacksonville, FL

Pelican Roost RV Park, Mayport, Florida | RVBuddy.com

Pelican Roost RV park is a great little campground with large pull-thru sites with awesome views of the ocean… some sites are right on the waterfront.

Interior road are paved and the sites are level. You can even watch ships as they travel in and out of the harbor right from your campsite. The staff is exceptional. they really make you feel welcome. You get a sense of community here. Saturday mornings they have pancake breakfasts, and weekly ice cream socials and cookouts.

It gets windy here so secure your awning! Wifi is available and a great signal.

Sorry… this is a military facility, so it’s open to military personnel only. Active, National Guard, Reservists, Retired, 100% DAV, NAF, Dependents, Guests, Active DOD Civilians (Retired DOD Civilians not allowed on base).

We will be back!

Tall Sycamore Campground – Logansport, IN

It is my opinion that this campground should be avoided because none of what they advertise is true.

There is no camp store. The boating river is shin deep and there are no boat ramps. There is no wifi and there are no activities.

The water smells. The lots are small and poorly maintained pull through lots are in the grass. The pool is small and cloudy. The office is not manned and there is no security.

The park floods if it rains heavy and sewer plus bathhouse backup.  there is no staff just managers lazy son rides golf cart all day around an around. The park is a 100 yrd. from train tracks… trains and whistles all day and night.

If you do camp at this site have mercy on others and please submit a review.

Diamond B Campground – Weatherford, TX

Where to begin… this campground is outdated.

As pipeliners we moved in late at night during Hurricane Patricia because our intended campground didn’t take people moving in after 6pm. We got set up enough to get some sleep. The next morning we were immediately bombarded by strangers who are full time residents. They had a million and one questions and all we wanted to do was finish getting our sight set up and get ready to make our test the next day.

Yes they have free wifi here however there’s also a hacker that was hacking into people’s phones and computers that were connected to the campgrounds wifi. Use at your own risk. The lady Loretta that claims to be the owner that we didn’t trust to give our rent to also she was constantly leaving rude notes on people’s doors, constantly going over an messing with people’s property when they weren’t there, harassing the male tenants we worked with, and asking for information about you that only someone who was trying to steal your identity would need.

Jim is the manager who you would want to deal with. If you have dogs make sure to watch out for them as their are several dogs that constantly roam around unattended by permanent residents and from the trailer park across the street. Cops were in and out at all hours of the night. Cops pounding on our door at all hours of the night asking where permanent residents were. We didn’t associate with the permanent residence because of all the stuff that was constantly going on here. This place isn’t a place we would recommend to anyone to stay at if you’re pipelining or vacationing.

Hitching Post Corral and Campground is a nice new park, with wide roads and big sites… big rig friendly.

The campground has 24 sites with full hook ups, 20/30/60 amp service, water, sewer and free wifi. Most sites are pull throughs. There are some back in sites in the woods.

The  owners are very friendly.

It’s just about 1 minute off Interstate 10 exit 130, and an easy overnight stop over.

Stagecoach Stop RV Park – Rio Rancho, NM

The owner here at Stagecoach Stop RV park is very friendly and accommodating.

It’s a very nice clean park with a privacy fence if you want one and a clean recreation area with a large TV. The campground has free WiFi.

The owner comes to gatherings in the rec room and wants to know if you are having any problems and will fix them if possible.

You can’t go wrong here for any reasonable price. We will come back next year for sure.

81 Palms RV Park was ok, but they do have poor WiFi.

It’s not quiet as advertised and owners not very friendly and don’t work with you if there is a problem.

This is worst place we ever stayed.

Amenities include laundry facility, outdoor heated pool, pet walking area, pull-thru sites, pool tables, book exchange, shuffleboard and horseshoes.

Crossroads RV Park – Mohave Valley, AZ

My husband and I spent the entire winter at Crossroads RV Park in Mohave Valley, Arizona.

Being away from town, the night sky is magnificent and being surrounded by mountains made for breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. Yet, there are many attractions within short driving distances, such as Laughlin, Vegas, Lake Havasu and Oatman.

The park is under new ownership and has made many improvements. The roads are paved, the showers are clean and the clubhouse is really nice. With all the activities and social functions going on, it feels more like a close community than an rv park. The people made us feel very welcome. With promises of even more activities and renovations to come, we look forward to coming back in the fall.

Paradise Island RV Resort – Oakland Park, FL

We had a nice stay at this campground. Paradise Island RV Resort is centrally located and just off I-95 (and only a few miles from I-75), so you have easy access to all the nearby attractions and points of interest in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area.

The campground is a little old but it is well maintained. Campsites are a bit tight if you have a large rv, but we managed OK. The facilities are clean and the people are friendly.

Amenities include a heated pool, two clubhouses, a game room, a fitness center and laundry.

We stayed here this winter and would return, if we head back to southern Florida.

Golden Coach RV Park is a fabulous campground. I tried to get in elsewhere and nothing fit my needs.

The campground is truly in the mountains, centrally located to all hiking, boating and small towns. There are great restaurants withing an easy drive. The golf courses are fabulous as are the fishing lakes.

I will go there again… it’s a must see!
