Timberlake Campground – Brandon, MS

Timberlake is a beautiful campground with shaded, as well as sunny sites. The staff was friendly and helpful and the property was clean and well maintained.

The waterfront sites here are the same price as the rest. You can see the Ross Barnett Reservoir from most areas in the campground and they have a nice boat ramp too. Other amenities include a pool and tennis courts.

There are quite a few restaurants and shopping a short drive away… some within walking distance. The have Wi-Fi but it did not work for me.

Pechanga RV Resort – Temecula, CA

We stayed at Pechanga RV Resort for 5 days in January. Pechanga is an Indian Casino, along with an adjacent RV Resort.

The RV resort itself is very nice. Many sites, including quite a few pull-throughs. It has a very beautiful resort style golf course right behind the casino. Several nice restaurants in the Casino, but they were noisy, service was slow and the casino is filled with smokers, which wafes into the restaurants as you eat. There are dozens of beautiful wineries very close by as well.

Check-in was easy, however you have to pay $10 to purchase a key card for the laundry and restrooms. You get the the money back at checkout, but this whole thing seemed a little odd. You cannot add it to your bill, either plus they would only accept the exact amount. No change given. I found this to be crazy, especially from a casino?? The grass on all sites was over watered, so much so that they were basically swamps. Very muddy. Most park water hookups also leaked. This was the case in several of the sites, I looked at. We mentioned this to the office, but nothing was ever done.

There was only one laundry room with about 6 machines and one tiny folding table. Their dog park was horrible. It’s very close to the busy streets, with gaping holes in the fence. Any small dog could easily escape out into traffic. Internet work well at times, but was also difficult to connect at times.

All things considered, I will probably not return.

Top of the Hill RV Resort – Boerne, TX

We recently returned from 5 days at Top of the Hill RV Resort. The campground had wonderful views from all directions.

They had a great staff, a very clean pool, nice game room, and a community kitchen. The bathrooms were very nice… clean and well maintained. Did I mention that the staff was very very nice? It’s worth repeating.

The campground is easy to find… just off Interstate 10, exit 533. It makes a great base for exploring San Antonio. They are open all year and have 103 full hookup sites.

The landscaping needs some help though. But we had no complaints! In fact, I recommend it.

Endless Summer RV Park – Naples, FL

Endless Summer RV park is a great campground! There is new management as of May 2015 and they are awesome! The horseshoe drive has recently been widened (asphalt) and many lots have just been re-done with new, larger concrete patios. Most lots can accommodate a second vehicle (+ your RV) at no extra charge!

The park itself is quiet, quaint, and has many trees for some shade. Two pets (with restrictions) are allowed and there is Wi-Fi in the community clubhouse. The laundry facilities are nice (4 washers and 4 dryers) and are reasonably priced. The showers are nice (2 per sex) with a changing area for each shower. There is a year-round heated swimming pool, shuffleboard & horseshoes! Water, sewer and electric are included in their daily, monthly and annual rates!

By far, our favorite part of Endless Summer are the park managers, Brooke & JD! Brooke is friendly, very responsive if there is an issue, and always available to help. They even help you park in your spot when you arrive. The mail is delivered to the office and she takes a golf cart out and delivers any USPS packages right to our RV! UPS & FedEx deliver to our RV.

The park has every type of mobile home – drivable and permanent, 5th wheels and pushers. All ages of mobile homes are welcome short term, so it does not matter how old your unit is; however, they did have their permanent tenants re-paint to freshen up the look of the community, which we appreciate.

There are activities everyday – including water aerobics, cards, games, bingo, and darts. They also hold painting & computer classes and have a social event once a week.

The only negative thing is that the speed bumps are really big, especially on Marie Lane, so make sure to drive slowly. They do have a low section in the middle for golf carts, though! It is nice not to have people speeding through our neighborhood.

Endless Summer RV Park is very convenient for shopping, banking and dining – just a 5 minute drive. It is very conveniently located off 75. We love the Naples area and love the location of Endless Summer. We are so happy here, that we are now annual tenants!

We camped at Sunfox for the first time Columbus Day weekend and had a great time!

Sunfox had activities almost every hour during the day and gave ribbons to the winners of the kids’ races, which our kids loved! They even had activities and late checkout on the Monday of the holiday weekend.

We will be returning and are looking forward to checking out their new pool this summer.

I highly recommend Sunfox for families with kids of any age!

We stayed at A Big Wheel RV Park and had a great time. This is a very nice campground. They have a wonderful staff.

Here are some of the features the campground has to offer: paved roads, 35 lots – level concrete pad, pull-thru sites with full hook-up, large motor home, 5th wheel or travel trailer friendly (20, 30 & 50 amps), picnic area and a pond with catch and release fishing. Also, a laundry facility, showers and restrooms, modem/phone/Internet access in the office and WiFi at most all sites. Nearby is a boat ramp/floating dock on the Crooked River

Also, be sure to check out their pot luck suppers every Sunday for a great time.

We will be here again soon.

East Shore RV Park – San Dimas, CA

East Shore RV Park is one of the most beautiful campgrounds in California or anywhere for that matter. The sites overlook Puddingstone Lake, 2 pools, fishing, and a great place to walk or hike.

But… coyotes and raccoons prey on your small animals. Cats are the preferred meal but they aren’t fussy. Anything that can’t fight back. Coyotes scream all night long. Keep away from F Section. If you don’t specify, that’s where you will be put. There are many permanent residents and not so hot looking RVs. You know the look of a trailer park. The tent campers are in F section. It appears this is where LA comes to spend the weekend and party hearty.

And then there’s the low flying aircraft. If you are bothered by noise, this is not the place for you. These planes fly overhead at all hours of the day and night. There is no control.

We stayed here at the Fredericksburg KOA in a tent this past fall. We were located in a nice wooded area.

The facilities here were very clean and well maintained. They have a pool, but when we were there the water was very cold and the pool had seen better days. The park staff was very helpful and friendly.

It’s located about 7 miles from I-95, exit 118. I would stay here again, and recommend it to anyone passing thru the area.

Wind Point Park RV Resort – Lone Oak, TX

We stayed at Wind Point Park RV Resort over a month. This is really a beautiful park! It is located right on Lake Tawakoni, in East Texas.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The campsites have full hook ups, fire pits and picnic tables. There is playground equipment and fishing piers too.

The restrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. Cabins, enclosed shelters and tent campsites are also available.

Our site was right on the lake and the sunsets were spectacular. Their rates are very reasonable. They vary depending on site location and length of stay. Our waterfront site was $410 a month plus electricity.

We will be returning to Wind Point Park RV Resort on our next visit to that area.

What a great RV Park! My family and I were pleasantly surprised to find such a friendly, clean, accommodating place that was budget friendly as well as central to everything in town.

We were in a bit of a pinch as we were in the process of selling our home and weren’t sure on the exact closing date, the management and staff at Smokey Point RV Park were as friendly as can be, even though we were a little chaotic on our end. They were very helpful and got us into our spot with no issues. We’ve now been here a little over two years and we couldn’t be happier with our choice! They have bathrooms and a laundry room here, the park is very safe with around the clock surveillance.

I definitely recommend this park for long or short term stays!
