Bordertown RV Resort – Reno, NV

Bordertown RV Resort | RVBuddy.com

Bordertown RV Resort is an excellent campground on the outskirts of Reno, Nevada.

The campground is in an easy location, with large, level, and pleasant spaces. They have a great dog run and a strong wifi signal. They also have horseshoes, a large recreation hall, lawn bowling and nature trails. On site restaurants, gaming, and entertainment too!

Will stay there again!

Rio Del Sol RV Haven – Big River, CA

Rio Del Sol RV Haven campground is in a good location. For 4 years, we enjoyed the seclusion and being on the Colorado River, but new managers have changed our future retirement plans. The park enjoys beautiful sunrises and sunsets, but the things that really count have been compromised in the last year. Washrooms and showers are not cleaned regularly, and the grassy areas, although nice, are not mowed frequently, We liked the clubhouse, the activities and the friendly people, but many of those people have moved from the park also. Management made many promises of upkeep that were never kept. Just not the park we want to spend our winters in any more.
The park does have 50 amp service, but only in 5 or 6 of the 104 sites. The sites are a reasonable size, but the size of the trees have caused problems for some units.

The park is very dusty, and I think that the new inexperienced management is unsure how to run an RV park. The rules change frequently but guests are not advised of the changes. This has caused much dissension in the park and many long time winter guests have left in mid season.

With management change, this could be a good park again.

Palm Beach Traveler RV Park – Lantana, FL

I stayed at Palm Beach Traveler RV Park for an extended period due to work in the area. At first glance, it seems well kept and seems adequate for comfortable living.

The sites are very tight. I could hear my neighbors every move. The pool is indoor, and there is no sundeck at all. The showers and bath house are clean, but old and not easy for disabled people. The laundry facilities are small, but have convenient debit swipe cards. Any “events” that are provided (I saw 3 in 10+ months) are chintzy – with the very least done by management. Sewers in the back smell often. Power surges were also an issue, but water pressure was great. Rates will change on a whim, and the new rates for the 2017-2018 season are not a good value. Other parks charging these rates have way more to offer.

The biggest issue that I had with this park is the management’s attitude. Not friendly! I have seen repeated abuses by management toward guests, both long and short term. If you have kids, find another place as they will be followed and harassed by management. If you annoy them for any reason, like breaking any of the ever growing list of rules, you will become subject to retaliatory actions. I have seen management inspect your site looking for dog waste you might have missed, and they selectively enforce the rules.

If you are looking for a fun, relaxed campground, I suggest that you go elsewhere. Until the current management is gone, I will not return to this park.

Felix Poche Plantation – Convent, LA

Felix Poche Plantation is one of the best campgrounds (really a RV Resort) we have ever stayed at! The ambience is certainly something we will remember. It’s just a easy place to love.

Thanks to the entire staff. It was Louisiana hospitality at it’s best. We enjoyed the free tour of the Mansion but the historic grave yard and grotto inside the historic church had such great artchitecture. It was just beautiful! The walks along the Mississippi river with provided amazing sunsets on the water… We really enjoyed the band and feast at the Thursday Night Feast known as Fiddler Night. The music was moving.

Thanks and we will spread the word of this jewel of Cajun Louisiana.

Desert Vista RV Resort – Mesa, AZ

Desert Vista RV Resort is very clean. Most who stay here are long term stays in motorhomes or 5th Wheels. My daily rate is based on a 3 month stay. Like most parks, the longer you stay, the less per night cost!

Camp sites are concrete pads and patios. Camp sites are wide and will accommodate a 40′ RV. All are back-in sites. There are some permanent, park models in the park, but most sites are available for RV’s. A common space is available for meetings, gatherings for games, a tennis table and pool table are located there as well. A small, workout room with a treadmill, an elliptical machine and a stationary, cable weight machine is available there too. A large screen TV is located in the workout room. A small kitchen and refrigerator is also available for use in the common room.

Desert Vista RV Resort is gated and requires a code to enter. A garage door opener is available at a fee of $50 which is returned when the opener is returned to the office. Camp sites have FHU, water, 50/30A service and cable (which is contracted through Cox Cable, not the park). Not aware of free WiFi because I have Cox data and video during my stay here for the three months of January thru March of 2017. OTA TV is easily available with your RV antenna.

There are many restaurants and other eateries, grocery and department store shopping and theaters close by. The campground is close to Phoenix via highways. A trolley system is available with access from Mesa to all venues downtown Phoenix. Finally, there is a small, heated pool and a hot tub.

Penny is the office manager and is very pleasant. She will accommodate you as much as possible. Overall, a very nice, long-term stay park or for a few nights. Desert Vista RV Resort is a hidden gem among all of the RV parks located in the Mesa area!

Fort Myers Beach RV Resort – Fort Myers, FL

In my opinion Fort Myers Beach RV Resort is a horrible place.

We’ve camped for many, many years and I’ve never written a negative review. The pool is disgusting. The campground is littered. There are cigarette butts stuck in the windows of the rec hall.

I was called back to work a week early and can’t get a refund. I will never ever will I stay at an Encore park again.

Campers Paradise RV Park – Sunset, TX

We stayed here at Campers Paradise RV Park several nights and absolutely loved it.

While there was some traffic noise due to being right on Hwy 287, it was lovely being parked under the shade of some kind of towering trees. The sites were clean and well lit (each site has a light on the meter pole), and there wasn’t any noise from other campers.

The campground has nice roomy showers, which was a nice way to shower off after spending some time in the pool. We visited with the staff in the office/store and even enjoyed a cup of coffee.

Campers Paradise RV Park has a swimming pool, a large clubhouse, a covered observation deck near the pool, and a large covered stage for entertainment. Nearby is golfing, bowling, movie theater and races at the local speedways. Nearby Bowie/Wichita Falls has plenty of shopping, dining, and nightlife!

I would definitely stay again.

Cunningham RV Park is a very nice family campground, located a few miles from Interstates 85 and 26 in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Family owned and operated, the campground has a nice olympic sized swimming pool, a weight room, a coin-operated laundry mat, full showers and bathrooms, playground and a well stocked convenience store. They also have a propane fueling station.

The staff is friendly. We had a great time.

Kamp Klamath RV Park & Campground – Klamath, CA

Kamp Klamath, a campground located in the Redwoods State Park was definitely a place for every campground lovers to add to their list of places to go.

Beautiful location, awesome and very friendly people who owns and works there, we felt very welcome to be there. Hot and clean showers and bathrooms, scenic view of nature.

We were there in February, we only stayed for a night because we wanted to enjoy the trails very close to this area, but the campground is close to a beautiful overlook of the Klamath mouth river and the ocean as well, also a nice trail called coastal trail if you like mountain biking.

Kamp Klamath is also close to Crescent City and Jedediah Smith State park and Prairie Creek State Park. Lots Lots of fun and a great time ! We didn’t get to try their famous Saturday night fresh smoked salmon on the bbq and live music, but we will definitely come back to enjoy this place again and have nice, true talks with the family who owns it.

Loved it… BRAVO!

Smoke Tree RV Park – Bakersfield, CA

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy.com

Smoke Tree RV Park is a small, well-maintained and clean campground.

The sites are large, level and paved with full hook-ups. Our pull-through site was plenty large, with room for our 43′ RV and towed car. The 50-amp electric power was rock solid. They have a seasonal pool, laundry room, bathrooms and showers… and everything is all very clean and looked after.

The park is also close to all the activities in Bakersfield.
