Silver Creek RV Park – Azle, TX

Silver Creek RV Park - RVBuddy.com

Silver Creek RV Park was quiet and the neighbors were friendly. The common building was really clean and I liked that it had open washers/dryers for use (as well as showers/restroom).

I found their website and the property manger to be very helpful in trying to think of activities to do around Fort Worth.

From Silver Creek website:

We’re a newly constructed RV park minutes outside of Fort Worth, TX! With the nicest common building in the area, shady and sunny spots, friendly neighbors and lush surroundings (including a pond!), our park is the perfect place for a quiet, relaxing stay. Whether it’s for just a few nights (rodeo and stock show, anyone?) or a few months, we hope you’ll stay with us!

We have full hookups at our sites (30/50 amp), and our common building has clean bathrooms and coin-operated washers and dryers. There’s also a microwave and a seating area in the common building while you wait for your laundry! The front porch is certainly the place to be when the breeze blows through. Take a look at our photos to see more!

Boardman Marina and RV Park – Boardman, OR

Boardman Marina and RV Park is a truly beautiful park located on the Columbia River. The campground has 63 huge, paved full service sites with 50 amp service, good shade and manicured grass lawns.  They also have a restroom/shower/laundry facility. It is right on the Columbia river with a nice paved trail for walking on the rivers edge.

This campground is an amazing bargain and they honor discounts for Good Sam Club members which is very unusual for a public facility.

The staff was helpful and friendly and the park is immaculate. This is the best value I’ve experienced in 12 years of full-timing.

Goethe Trailhead Ranch RV Campground – Dunnellon, FL

We absolutely loved everything about Goethe Trailhead Ranch RV Campground. You can come with or without horses, we just came with our dogs which they had a dog park for.

Campsites are huge, and the grounds are very well maintained. The lady on the phone was very accommodating and tried to answer all my many questions. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool but it looked wonderful. We had unfortunately encountered a torrential downpour but was pleasantly surprised that there was no mud, muck or even puddles!

Overall I 100% would recommend it. We will be back!

We recently returned for our 15th stay at Pine Lake RV Park in Fountain, Florida. We always stay there when we go to Panama City. You can’t beat their pricing and we ride our motorcycle into town.

The staff is great and always treat us wonderfully. The park is always kept clean and the guests are always friendly. They have a great fishing lake (catch and release) and we always find it relaxing. We workout alot and found their gym to be top of the line. It is a pet friendly park and we enjoy other people’s pets. They always escort us to our site and offer to help us hook up!

If your ever going their way, STOP IN!

Bay RV Park – San Leon,TX

Bay RV Park | RVBuddy.com

Bay RV Park is a nice campground centrally located in the Houston – Galveston area.

There are historic sites to see nearby and we enjoyed a tour of NASA spacecraft center. We also enjoyed a deep sea fishing trip out of Galveston.

There are many good seafood restaurants in the area. Their rates were moderate and fair. The facilities were convenient and clean and the staff was helpful.

From Bay RV Park website:

Bay RV Park in League City, TX, has all of the amenities that campground customers are looking for. While we are one of many Galveston Texas RV Parks and Galveston RV Campgrounds, Bay RV is located in the rural village of beautiful San Leon, TX. Go East on FM 517 off of I-45 South, cross Highway 146 and continue approximately 3 miles. We are conveniently located between Kemah and Texas City.

We have a quiet, laid back RV park. We are one of the nicest, well-maintained Campgrounds Galveston Texas Parks in the area. Whether you are looking for RV Camping Texas or Campground Kemah, Bay RV Park is just 7.5 miles to Kemah Boardwalk and 20 miles to Galveston.

River’s Edge Campground – Holt, FL

River’s Edge Campground was almost perfect! We called ahead for reservations and used our Passport America discount.

We arrived around 4pm and were glad we had reservations because the park had no more open spots. Check in was quick and the office has a small camp store with some basic necessities, fishing supplies, and firewood. They also have propane.

They have FHU sites, but our site (#24) was a back-in site with 30 amp and electric. There is a dump station. It was a mostly level and sandy. Our spot was great because it was at the end of the “cul-de-sac”. The spaces are not uncomfortably close together. We did have a picnic table and fire ring. They do have WiFi, but it was not the greatest. The best reception we got with our Verizon cell service was about 2 bars of 3G! It made it difficult to get any work done.

There is a laundry room ($1.50 for each machine). They had a pretty small playground with swings. They did have horseshoes and basketball. The clubhouse had a pool table, TV, puzzles, and books, but it was locked when we tried to check it out. They did offer free coffee in the morning in the clubhouse (which is the only reason we knew what was inside). They allow fishing on the bank and have a small boat launch for guests. The restroom/shower was fairly clean with plenty of hot water. There is only one shower stall and 2 toilets. You can lock the bathhouse door for privacy.

We really enjoyed the setting with the big trees and the riverbank. The slow internet and low cell signal was the only downside for us personally. We made a day trip into Navarre Beach and Pensacola Beach. The weather was cool, windy, and overcast but we still enjoyed it.

Bentsen Palm RV Park – Mission, TX

Bentsen Palm RV Park is a very highly rated campground by all the usual: Good Sam, TL, etc. We found it to be beautifully landscaped and very clean. There’s a large dog park and a nearby birding park which added to our interest.

We found this to be a mostly motor home/giant 5th wheel park of winter Texans who appeared to come for the whole season each year. There wasn’t much room for newcomers–social circles are pretty tight.

The thing that we liked least is not the park’s fault, but an issue for us. The park is very close to the border and Border Patrol helicopters flew at night frequently awakening us, back and forth. The newspaper was full of stories about shootings and there were tales in the park of having to go to the movie theater in the am so as to avoid your truck being stolen.

I suppose if you wanted to stay within the gates, wear ear plugs to bed, and venture out only in groups during the daylight this isn’t a problem. We like the Tex-Mex culture a lot–but this patch of ground seems to be under seige.

Clean Living RV Park – Azle, TX

Clean Living RV Park is an awesome campground! The manager and owner are on site every day, and are very responsive to your needs.

The campground is in a rural setting near Azle. The property is clean and well maintained. Safety and security are foremost, as the park is completely fenced in with access via a code-controlled gate.

I highly recommend this campground as a great park for a short or long-term stay! It’s located about midway between Azle and Boyd. It’s a country setting just a few miles from stores, gas stations, restaurants, etc. Nearby are doctors, dentists, and Texas Health Hospital Azle. There are also several veterinary hospitals in the area.

Clean Living RV Park is everything we wanted for a long-term stay! The friendliness and responsiveness of the manager, owner, and residents is a huge plus, and makes this a park with a real community feel.

Turquoise Trail Campground and RV Park – Cedar Crest, NM

We stayed at Turquoise Trail Campground in October, 2018. I was a little wary of staying here sight unseen, but we wanted to stay away from the crowds of Albuquerque. I was pleasantly surprised! We were escorted to our site upon arrival. The directions they gave me to the campground were great (it is a little off the beaten path).

The showers/bathrooms were somewhat older, but very clean and accessible. They offer “tranquil” camping in a gorgeous mountain meadow overlooked by the Sandia Wilderness. We loved being close to the mountain instead of on an asphalt parking lot.

Their amenities include: full hook-up RV sites that have water/power/sewer with 50/30/20 amp service, tent camping in a wooded area isolated from the RV sites. All sites have charcoal grills and picnic tables, open sky for satellite reception, pet friendly, Free WiFi, a playground, laundry facilities, a gift shop, and a dumping station.

The campground is on the Turquoise Trail National Scenic Byway. We will stay here again when in the Albuquerque area.

Strawberry Park Campground – Preston, CT

I camped with my daughter and her family and we couldn’t think about camping anywhere else now that we have found Strawberry Park . The campground is spotless.

There are so many activities for the kids and adults to do. They have adult pools, 2 hot tubs, two other pools, many playgrounds, a ballfield, free hot water showers, entertainment, a store , plenty of daily activities for everyone and the most friendly staff you will ever find.

My family plans on going back for our 2nd year with them. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.  We are thinking of bringing more family with us this year, so we’ll be looking also into either their park model rentals or log cabin rentals also.

The place is just a wonderful place for all ages!
