Mountain Meadow RV Park – Hungry Horse, MT

Mountain Meadow RV Park | RVBuddy.com

Mountain Meadow RV Park has a pleasant, laid-back, park like atmosphere. It’s actually one of the nicest parks we have visited for a while. This campground feels like you’re at a state park. It’s built on a hillside, and there are lots of trees and shade for most of the sites.

The interior roads are gravel and the individual sites are comfortable and private. If you have a larger rig, you may have some trouble navigating through the campground because some of the hills are a little steep. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table.

Amenities include a stocked rainbow trout pond, very well maintained laundry room, hot showers and rest rooms, and a dump station. They have a really nice gift shop and well stocked camp store. Also horseshoes and a small playground. They also have free wi-fi. The campground is handy to attractions in the area too!

They offer discounts for AAA and Good Sam Club members, but if you’re not a member of either, ask for your 10% Internet discount.

Rates are reasonable… $55 for full hookups, $45 for water and electric. They also have camping cabins. By the way…  they no longer accommodate tents and they do not allow “loud” motorcycles.

Lookout Mountain/Chattanooga West KOA – Trenton, GA

Lookout Mountain / Chattanooga West KOA | RVBuddy.com

We stayed at Lookout Mountain/Chattanooga West KOA in Trenton, Georgia for one week in May and loved it. This is a very family oriented campground with pull through and back up sites. Most of the sites are in the shade.

The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to help. We had a problem with our propane and the owner spent a long time helping us until we found a tear in one of the hoses. Without his help, we would have had to take our rv into a service center and that would have ruined our trip.

This KOA is near the Chattanooga Aquarium (17 minutes), Lookout Mountain, and the Hang Gliding Center. We would highly recommend staying here.

Musicland Kampground – Branson, MO

Musicland Kampground | RVBuddy.com

Musicland Kampground is a very scenic forested park located just a short walk from the famous Branson strip and dozens of shows, restaurants, shopping and attractions. It’s really amazing how close you can be to all the action and still have a quiet space to go back to at the end of the day!

Musicland is a gated campground (you must have a card to enter) with a friendly, knowledgable staff. The campground has over 100 sites with some pull-thru, full hook-ups and free cable TV.

The entire property including the facilities are clean and well maintained. Interior road are paved and the sites are level and a comfortable size. If you have a big rig, it’s a little hard to navigate because the interior roads are a bit narrow but the staff will guide you into your site. They have got a nice little campstore with groceries, camping supplies, local gifts and crafts. Rates are reasonable too!

We’ve camped here twice and both stays were very enjoyable and we plan on going again this summer. I think Musicland is the nicest campground in the Branson area.

This unique KOA is easily accessible, located just minutes off of I-40 and offers a range of accommodations, from deluxe cabins to quick & easy pull-thru(s) to back-ins by one of the ponds on the property (nightly, weekly, and monthly rates).

Smithwoods RV Park – Felton, CA

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy.com

Our family has stayed at Smithwoods RV Park many times over the past 30 years. This last visit presented our family of 2 adults and 2 teenage children with some very interesting challenges but were resolved beyond our satisfaction.

When the kids were younger the swimming pool and playground provided hours of entertainment. Now that they are older the challenge is finding safe and exciting things for them to do. The management not only gave us directions to bowling, hiking and a great local skateboarding park they also pointed out fun community activities happening during our stay! In addition they asked our children for advice on how they could bring more fun to the teenage guests!

We love this place and are booking our next stay now… I’m sure with their focus on family we will continue to “camp” here in paradise at Smithwoods!

Wildwedge Golf and RV Park – Pequot Lakes, MN

Wildwedge RV Park - Pequot Lakes, MN | RVBuddy.com

Wildwedge Golf and RV Park is actually a Par 3 Golf course (a super well-kept little course), a Mini Golf course (Rated best mini golf in Minnesota), a Mystery Maze (over 10,000 square feet of fun), and last but not least a really nice RV park.

The RV Park has large wooded sites on the golf course plus pull-thru sites, all with full hook-ups (water, sewer, 20/30/50 amp service, cable tv ($), free wifi, picnic tables and fire rings. They are located in the Central Minnesota Lakes Area.

All sites are large (at least 50′ x 100′) and are available for nightly, weekly or seasonal rentals. They also have private shower facilities, area with full kitchen for group rentals, basement storm shelter. Except for the pull-thru sites, all are located overlooking the golf course (sites on the golf course are not pull-thru sites but will accommodate large rigs) and all have great views of the woods and golf course and lots of room.

Our site was very large and private and woodsy.

They also have 3 rooms in their lodge for rent overlooking the golf course.

Lot’s of things to see and do in the area as well…shopping, golf courses, hiking/biking trails, amusement parks, waterslides and fun recreational rentals.

We camped here last year and loved it. We will be back for sure!

Bethpage Camp Resort – Urbanna, VA

Bethpage Camp Resort | RVBuddy.com

My wife and I took 3 of the grandkids with us to Bethpage Camp Resort.

This is a wonderful campground. We got a courtesy escort to our paved pull-thru campsite. They have waterfront, open and shaded sites. They have lots of things to do for everybody. They have a nice lake with a beach, 2 swimming pools and an awesome waterpark. There is also free cable tv and wi-fi throughout the campground. Amenities also include a mini-golf course and ice cream stand, a nice camp store, pavilion, snack bar, and more.

Other amenities include: 50 amp electrical service, boat & RV storage, high pressure vehicle, boat & RV wash, and a marine pump out station.

This campground is really a destination resort… you really never have to leave. Everything you could want is here, from entertainment and planned events to groceries and other camping essentials.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. It is also just a few miles from the Chesapeake Bay. We recommend it!

Oasis RV Resort – Amarillo, TX

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy

We stayed at Oasis RV Resort for several months when it first opened over 12 years ago and stay when we pass thru Amarillo each year.

Sad to say that there have been no fixings to the roadways and they’re filled with potholes. No site # signage yet at each street to tell you which sites are located on that row, only a street name. So don’t lose your map to show your site in case you forget the street you’re on.

Most annoying is that between 2 laundry rooms I tried only 2 washers were working out of 5 and the same for dryers… no signage to tell you this either. For the over pricing for overnight stays (+$65/night with discount) this is inexcusable.

When they first opened prices were much more affordable but we’ve seen quite an increase in the years and there have been no improvements in the past 20 years when we retired from here.

Sorry Oasis… we don’t plan to return. Please fix things for those who stay.

Canyon Trail RV Park – Boulder City, NV

Canyon Trail RV Park | RVBuddy.com

We are out of Texas, and traveling west and north. We checked on the internet for places to stay along the way and found Canyon Trail in Boulder City…

Canyon Trail RV Park is an excellent campground. They have paved roads and an RV wash area set up to do your own. They have large pull-thru sites and full hookups (water, sewer and electric), 30/50 amp availability, free wi-fi, digital cable TV, a dump station, showers, a dog run, a pool, spa and BBQ area… and a rec room.

These are good people and very friendly. The campground is quiet, and close to the Hoover Dam and tour. You can get a Grand Canyon tour out of there as well. Boulder City is nearby with tons of things to see and do!

Canyon Trail RV Park is just a nice place. Period

Coastal Georgia RV Resort – Brunswick, GA

Coastal Georgia RV Resort | RVBuddy.com

We recently discovered Coastal Georgia RV Resort on a trip south to Florida.

Originally intending to make it an overnight stopover, we ended up staying and extra night. The campground is spotless. The bathrooms and showers are modern and well maintained. The laundromats (there are 2) are air conditioned, which is a plus. The staff and management were accommodating, very friendly, and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. They have a nice sized pool and a gorgeous covered area with a fireplace. They also have a campstore with a good selection of RV supplies and a game room for the kids. Other amenities include a playground, horseshoe pits and shuffleboard courts. The entire resort is handicap accessible.

Roads throughout the campground are wide and paved. Sites are not large but comfortably sized, with level concrete pads. Most were pull-thrus with full hook-ups and 30-50 amp service. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring and grill. Cable TV and WiFi are also included. It’s a newer campground and they have planted trees and shrubs between each site. In a few years they should grow to provide some nice privacy.

The resort has a nice little lake with a dock and paddle boat rentals. We noticed kids having a great time catching fish right off the dock and along the shore. There are some back-in sites right along the shore which were nice… fish right from your campsite! The campground is pet friendly with some restrictions, so be sure to check that out before staying here.

Coastal Georgia RV Resort is located right off I-95, exit 29. It’s an easy on-off when passing thru. Although it’s close to I-95, road noise is not that noticeable. The campground is close to Brunswick and Atlantic Ocean beaches. We will definitely add this campground to our “must stay” list .
