Oasis RV Park and Golf – Ephrata, WA

Oasis RV Park is another keeper with average size spaces, but lots of grass, mature trees, a lake and best for those who care a 9-hole golf course.

Half the sites are full service, free WiFi and cable TV and all for under $30.00 a night. The folks tell me the water in the pool is “nice” and you can take it from me, the ice cream in the little store really hits the spot on a warm summer day. The park was half full when we were there and the manager told me it’s usually completely full in summers so gas prices have started to hurt. They are open all year, but limited in winter.

I found the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

The park has a little pond for the kids to fish in, and I already mentioned the golf course.

The town of Ephrada has a great museum, underline great. but plan to spend at least 2 hours there as there is lots to see. They have a little restored village and each ‘building’ is dedicated to some function, a barber, a dentist, a blacksmith, a hat shop, a school, a church, a bank, a newspaper, etc. The kids will love it all, especially the school house, but Grandma might have to explain the “Dunce”.

The town of Ephrata has a Wal-Mart and lots of antique shops to explore too.

  1. Returned this summer and it is still a keeper. We did find that WiFi at the north end of the campground didn’t work and some of the sites had no sewer, but the staff is friendly and the little store well stocked for a little store. There is a trail at the south end that follows the aquaduct to town. Its a long mile, especially in the heat but if you like walking, it’s safer than the road. On Saturdays during the summer there is a small farmers market in town and well worth the trip. We bought the sweetest strawberries and a delicious berry pie.
