Crown Villa is one of the classiest campgrounds we have ever stayed at. The sites are finished with brick pavers and are very large with plenty of room. The installed landscape lighting really adds a nice touch at night! The staff is extremely friendly. We were escorted directly to our site and they even helped us park.
The atmosphere here is a peaceful elegance with rolling grass, large shade trees and plenty of flowers and landscaping. Bathrooms, laundry and other facilities are clean and well maintained.
Our site was excellent… with a full hook-up and an awesome cable TV lineup! High-speed wireless Internet access is also available. They have an absolutely fabulous brick courtyard area with large trees, fire cauldrons & conversation area seating. There’s a nice lounge too.
Tennis, horseshoes, and shuffleboard… but no pool for some reason. I wouldn’t doubt though if we came back next year and one was there.
I was in Bend in Sept 2008, but stayed at a different park. I inquired as to the status of Crown Villa, and the latest I heard is that the developer who purchased the park is planning to go ahead with taking the park down, but right now they have to upgrade the sewer lines before they can do that. Park may operate for only one more year. But who knows, even that can change.
