The Villages at Turning Stone is a first rate camping facility located conveniently off the New York State Thruway in Verona, NY. The campground is operated by the Onieda Nation and is considered an adjunct of their Turning Stone Casino. Visitors have the choice of using a free shuttle from their site to the Casino which is located about a mile from the park.
If the casino life is not your thing the park itself stands alone as a great vacation spot. All roads and sites are paved with full hookups, including cable. The grounds and restrooms are spotless. There are several hiking trails, a pond with paddle boats and pavilion for outdoor activities in season.
We frequently travel to western New York from our home in Massachusetts and would not miss an opportunity to spend a night or several days at this great park.
Joan, you should contact the campground for that information.
I am President of the Adirondack Good Sam Club and we are looking to camp at your campground on your opening weekend in 2012. We would have a minimum of 10 rigs and would like to be together. We tried this year but it was al booked. What is our possiblility of reserving these sites for April 2012? What cost and etc.? I will be waiting for your answeres.
Thank you
Joan
We think that The Villages is one of the best campgrounds in the East. We like the back-in sites which back up to the ponds or woods, on very large grassy sites with shade and screening trees. One note: No tents are allowed (tent trailers OK).
