We had a great time at Shadow Brook Campground. Partly because it was the end of the season, and we were pretty much alone.
Shadow Brook is a unique property surrounding a nice pond. The gravel roads are in good shape. Bathrooms, showers, and laundry are clean and modern inside with a rustic look outside. Some sites are laid out in an unconventional way, but most are back-ins. Very few have three-way hook-up, but they have a dump station and a “Honey Wagon.”
The owners were busy winterizing seasonal units and closing the Campground for the season. But that didn’t change their good customer service. We were escorted to our site, and they allowed us to stay one day past the closing date.
Nearby is Glimmerglass State Park with an awesome beach and nice walking trails. A little more down the road is the village of Cooperstown and all the attractions.
There are two other Campgrounds in the area, I’ve been to both of them, but Shadow Brook is my favorite for visiting the Cooperstown area.
