This is a one nice campground… one of the nicest campgrounds we have been to in a long time!
The campground staff was friendly and accommodating and made us feel at home. Check-in was fairly quick and before you know it we were all moved in and ready to have some fun!
Moose Hillock looks to be a fairly new campground, the property is clean, and the sites are large, level and private… with plenty of space even for the largest motorhome. They have full hookup sites with 20, 30 and 50 amp electric service, water, sewer and cable TV. There are picnic tables and natural stone fireplaces at each site.
The facilities are squeaky clean, well maintained and there are plenty of amenities to keep the entire family happy. Â Their playground has basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, and play structures for the little ones. The have a very nice camp store with a good selection of groceries, souvenirs, and camping supplies. They Have a very impressive “Aloha Beach Tropical Swimming Pool” and water slides which they claim is the largest heated campground swimming pool in the Northeast. A small “Beach Side Cafe” is located nearby too!
Moose Hillock has a 400 seat pavilion that has entertainment on Wednesday and Saturday evenings. The pavilion is located away from the campsites so the noise is kept to a minimum. Rounding out the amenities is a laundromat, golf cart rentals, camping cabins, hiking and biking trails.
Moose Hillock is located about 10 minutes from I-87, exit 20 on NY Route 149. Lake George, outlet shopping, Six Flags Theme Park and other attractions are just a short drive away. This campground will see us on a regular basis… it’s one of our favorites!
