Lake George Escape, at the end of the season, is better than at the beginning. We stayed there in mid September and had no mosquito problems. The sites are large, well kept, wooded, and with enough greenery between sites to not make you feel like your neighbors were watching every thing you were doing.
Even though Lake George Escape is a large campground it doesn’t have that large campground feel but it could be different during peak season with many more sites filled. Lake George Village is a short 10-15 minute drive with plenty to do when you get there even in the off season.
