For a quiet night in a secluded atmosphere, Alps Family Campground won my heart. The grounds are clean and nicely landscaped, facilities are clean and reasonably modern, and the campstore is well stocked with snacks, groceries, and camping supplies.
Most of the sites seemed to be seasonal renters, but a good selection of sites are reserved for transients. I was there during the week, so despite the full appearance, the campground was extremely quiet and peaceful. There is a wooded area set aside for tents and pop-ups that appeared nearly empty.
If you’re planning to be there during peak season, reservations are strongly recommended.
