Cherry Hill Park is a regular stopover for us on the way to Florida from our home in Maine. Don’t expect a quiet, rural atmosphere here. You’re located just of I-95, a few miles from Washington DC and less than 30 minutes to Baltimore. But Cherry Hill is extremely convenient for RVers passing through the area and looking for a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced campground to spend the night.

The park is clean and very well maintained, and they have an excellent bus service that stops right at the campground and takes you to most of the major attractions in the area. You can buy tickets for area attraction on-site too! Cherry Hill Park has a very nice camp store with a great selection of groceries and camping supplies. Amenities include a large pool, lounge, game room and the “Cherry Hill Cafe”. The facilities are clean and well maintained.

Individual sites are level but most are quite small although they can accommodate big rigs. There are plenty of pull-thrus and full hook-ups including cable TV. You definitely don’t stay here for the ambiance… it’s crowded, somewhat cramped and the kids can run rampant thru your site at times, but for us it’s always been a nice overnite stop on our way to warmer weather.

  1. We stayed at Cherry Hill in 06′. Found it a very nice, clean and busy campground. It was a stopover for a trip to Mrytle Beach SC.
We arrived about 7am after a night run and the check in staff was very pleasent. We found our site clean and angled nicely for an easy back in. Once we got settled we noticed a few ants, then a few more. There was an army of them on the site. We went to the office expecting they would come by and spray but all they would do is SELL us a can of spray and said WE had to care of things like that ourselves. We had to chase ants in the trailer for the rest of the trip and I spent most of that day trying to keep them out rather than resting so I wasn’t too happy with the attitude this particular employee had.

That said, we had planned on leaving by 7pm, we ended pulling out at 10pm because there were so many nice campers there and the kids had a ball at the pool. It was well supervised and the people we ran into were so friendly I lost track of time. We left tired but pleased overall with our stay. I would’ve like it more if they took care of the ants but I would probably go back again.
