Wild Duck Campground is a 70 site, Adult-only campground (not even any visitors under 21 allowed), located in the middle of Maine Audubon’s Scarborough Marsh, state’s largest salt water marsh, and Maine Audubon’s property.. The park is very quiet and clean, with a helpful staff. We camped here last August for a long weekend.
The Scarborough Marsh is the state’s largest salt water marsh and can be explored by foot or canoe. You can bring your own canoe or kayak or rent one from the campground.
RV sites have full hook-ups and cable, 50 amp service. Pull thru sites are also available. There are separate areas for tenting, pop-up campers, and vans. They have clean, modern restrooms and showers, Wi-Fi, a laundry, and a small store with RV supplies, limited groceries, ice, and firewood. The owners live on the property and they have night security gates.
It is near Old Orchard Beach and some great seafood restaurants. While they have features, (no pool or playground), it’s a nice relaxing campground.
