Heartland RV Park is a nice campground overall.
Passport America is accepted here. Amenities included FHU, level sites, WiFi, laundry room, playground, gameroom/gym, and showers. We didn’t use the laundry room, but the showers were clean and private. RV spaces are close but not uncomfortable. It’s pretty quiet aside from some road noise, but not really noticeable if you’re used to RV parks in general. Verizon service here is 3 bars. Heartland has a nice office staff.
Points of interest nearby are the Sam Houston Statue, Sam Houston Memorial Museum, Sam Houston State University, Sam Houston grave site, Sam Houston National Forest, Texas Prison Museum, and Huntsville State Park
Would definitely stay here again.
