This campground is terrible. No one should ever go there! Now, if you believe that, perhaps this fantastic place will never fill up and we can always get a spot here.

If you are coming from New York, take the ferry from Plattsburg. When you get off the ferry turn left and go down the road less than a mile and you have arrived.

There are about 60 or so sites ranging from full service (no cable) to tents. Some of the sites are right on the lake and others are only a few steps away. The campground roads are more than adequate. The sites are level and carpeted with a beautiful lawn. The restrooms and showers are clean, but small. The owner is one of the most helpful we’ve encountered. He will do almost anything to make your stay enjoyable.

By the way, The “Adult” in the campground name does not mean what some may think. It merely suggests that adults might find this campground more to their liking than children. There are no activities for kids, no playgrounds or sandboxes.

Area activities include the many faces of Burlington (20 minutes away), the Shelbourne Museum (plan at least a day to visit), Vermont Teddybear Factory (just down the road from the museum), Stowe, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory, and a host of other places to visit.

There are a few seasonals who make the place sparkle. They’re friendly and helpful.

Don’t miss this place if you are in the Burlington area. Above all, do not write good reviews about this place. Too many people will discover it and cause it to be booked solidly through the season.
