Our stay was fun filled, and there was always something to do for the whole family. The public rest rooms were the cleanest rest rooms in any camp ground I have ever stayed at! Bravo to the cleaning staff.

There is nothing more relaxing than sitting by the warm waters of Florida Bay and listening to the seagulls while the sun sets magnificently over the bay. The campground is small but it’s a nice, cozy place to stay and away from all the hussle and bussle of bigger campgrounds.

Every site includes Water, Sewer, Electricity, Internet, and Cable. Pets are welcome with a one-time fee of $25. There is a daily fee of $10.00 or a $75.00 monthly fee for use of boat ramp and dock.

The campground has great wi-fi. There is an additional charge of $2.00 for cable if desired. They have a basic store too. Yogi bear comes out at 6:30 pm to give wagon rides around the park. The park is only about 5-10 minutes off I-95.

The travel books and signs say to use I-95 exit 17 but exit 13 is easier and has fewer turns.

The staff were so helpful answering all the questions we had, our children had a wonderful time participating in all the activities and the safety that we felt being here was incredible. During the day and up until 11:00 p.m., the campground is filled with life and it is wonderful be part of this. At 11:00 p.m., the campers respect the quiet hour and the staff are riding in golf carts which made us feel safer. We went kayaking during the day at the pond and my kids were swimming in the pond, which is so clean.

The staff there always go out of there way to make sure your stay is pleasurable. If you have a problem, they get on it right away. The campground is always clean and up to date.

If you go to Cape May, this is the campground to stay at. They are always booked,so make your reservations early!

We enjoy staying there, but there are a few problems. If you stay around 4th of July the fireworks noise lasts for another at least 4-5 days. Fireworks should be on the 4th not on any other day. At night there is a problem with golf carts! The kids there do not respesct the rules of the campground when it comes to driving. I look around and see underage children driving and fast! No respect for others! The campground security does not enforce the golf cart good enough. I understand that it is a huge campground but security is not good enough.

The sites have plenty of room with full hook ups. By the way, make sure you rent a golf cart to get around there because the property is huge!

This is a busy, “party” campground, with people go to and from the beach area, horse shoe area, the restaurant, and store. The favored activity seemed to be cruzing the campground in a golf cart or mini-bike. The campground lacks the typical amenities one would expect at a resort. Perhaps the biggest example of this was the condition of the bathrooms, mildew covered ceilings, cobwebs, lack of toilet paper, and an example of just how outdated they are…pay showers. There is a water slide but no place for parents to watch small children from with the exception of a gravel parking area outside the fence. There is also a mini golf course – not that challenging and in need or repair, and a skate/bike park, also in need or repair. There were attendants working these areas but they were a bit brusque and looked more like maintenance men who had been reassigned than people working at a resort activity center.

The landscaping is another area in that could be improved upon. An overgrown baseball field, volleyball set in hard pack dirt rather than sand, and lack of interesting landscape show just how far away from a resort Pine Acres is.

Not everything was below average however. The sites are nice, level and large, with growth between them allowing for some semblance of privacy. The roads are well maintained, and the beach is great including the pavilion nearby and the grill selling food to people enjoying the sand and sun made for a fun “day at the beach”.

All in all this is a nice campground but not a resort.

They have a great staff  (but limited office hours in the summer as it is “off-season) and a lovely park with a few pull thrus and mostly back-ins.  The campground has mostly year round or seasonal mobile homes with maybe 2 dozen sites for transients. The sites are concrete and have a picnic table. There is free wi-fi and full cable tv. Great water pressure and voltage too. They also have a large pool with 2 air conditioned bath houses. The campground is within walking distance to the beach and a nice shopping center with restaurants, deli, and grocery store. a shell gas station is on the corner and has the lowest price in the area.

We are here in July and the rate is just $33. per nite. Weekly prices are available too. Woodalls has this with a high rating and I agree. This resort is a definite winner for this area. We will be back again.

Once we got hooked up the electric lasted about 30 minutes then went out. I went over to the connection to check the breaker and as soon as I touched the breaker it came loose and started sizzling. Maintenance did come by and replace the breaker but the electric went out twice again the next morning. Two gentlemen from maintenance were nice enough to take care of the problem for me quickly by replacing all the wiring in the box. This part is not a complaint but is just one example of how shoddy everything in this park is.

We went July 4th weekend and no pool… yep it’s under construction in the middle of the summer, way to go management. They neglected to mention this on the phone when we reserved our sites. Of course you can pay extra to use the water slide… well for the first day, it was broke after that. Then there’s the lake, you can swim in that if you don’t mind the very under qualified lifeguard. Since it was hot with nothing to cool off in I figured I’d watch some TV in my camper, but wait, you have to pay extra for cable on a full hook up site. Oh well, no TV.

Now we know there’s no pool, bad electric, a broken water slide, a dirty lake with a nasty “lifeguard” so what else does the wonderful Buena Vista have to offer? Well, I hope you don’t use the campground’s restrooms because if they’re not locked, they’re filthy. In addition, keep your kids off the roads because there were plenty of people driving way too fast (25 mph) down the streets and right by our sites with security no where to be found. One camper was so drunk he drove his car over a tree stump and tore the gas tank off the car. Campground management found him there complaining with a beer in his hand. Did they call the police you ask? Nah. Quiet time is 11:00 at Buena Vista but some campers don’t care and blare spanish music well into the night all over the campground. Not once did management or security drive by to check things out.

Onto the store and game room… the store was pretty much empty of supplies and the game room was full of old games in which most didn’t even work.

As for management and staff, it seemed to me that the average age was about 17.

Morgan RV Resorts owns this campground so I’m scratching all of their campgrounds off my list of possibilities.

So, if you’re into spending $57 a night for filth, bad electric, nasty lifeguards, a broken waterslide, no pool, lots of spanish music and a generally horrible experience go to Buena Vista Campground. If you’re not into these things go anywhere else.

What I also like about this park is that everyone knows everyone so its like one big happy family and everyone just gets along so well.  My favorite part about this place is the view of the water, almost all the sites are very close to the eater, and during the sunset, you can see how beautifully the sun sets quickly into the horizon.

The beach and the water here is amazing and very relaxing. Also the sites are totally hooked up and the park even has wi-fi for thos that are working and need internet.

Overall its a very nice enviornment and I definetly recommend it to everyone!
