North Beach is actually on Vilano Beach, located about 3 miles north of St. Augustine on Hwy A1A.

The pavement ends at the front office, from there its flat sandy roads that wind through the deeply forested campground. Palmetto’s grow between each campsite so there is plenty of privacy. In some areas of the campground the palmetto’s were so thick you could barely see to the next site. The campground is so deeply forested that the roads in the campground seem like tunnels. There is free wifi throughout the campground, and it could be easily picked up inside our motorhome. They also had cable, and sewer hookups.

The facilities were clean and well maintained. We camped at a site in one of the older sections, so some of the facilities were a little dated, but still clean. There is a newer bathhouse in a newer sections by the riverfront, but we didn’t get a chance to check it out. All the bathhouses have laundry rooms which were also clean and well maintained. There is a game room in the main office as well as a bath house and laundry room. They also have a small campstore with all the basics. They have a big pool with a huge hot tub.

The campground was fairly busy when we were there, but it still was quiet and very laid back. We loved it!

The park is clean and well maintained and the bathrooms are awesome. Each site is approximately 40 x 50 ft., and a minimum of approximately 2000sq ft. All sites have a picnic table and fire ring. Also each site includes free cable tv and wi-fi. They have new playgrounds and a new snack bar and ice cream stand. Wow!

The campground is a short drive from lots of attractions including Mohegan Sun and Foxwood’s Casinos, Tantaquideon Indian Museum, Mystic Seaport, and the Mystic Marinelife Aquarium

Salem Farms Campground is truly a family park. Family owned and operated.

We booked for the winter season during Sept 2009 and there were only two sites left. Almost all of the residents we met had been coming to this place for years and we found out why. Everyone there is friendly, it’s like family, time all the time during your stay. We especially liked the 4:00PM get together’s.

My family was a guest at Cold Springs Campground, lot E62, from Thursday July7th through Monday July 11th. This was our first experience camping at Cold Springs and I brought my 7 year old granddaughter along.

We had reserved this site by phone in mid-June. I wasn’t offered any other site, nor told that the site was adjacent to 4 horse shoe pits & a shuffle board court. Nor was I told that there was a horse shoe tournament every weekend.

When we set up camp Thursday afternoon, it was fairly quiet…so I wasn’t concerned. However, by about 4 P.M. the horse shoe pits were fully occupied…and continued to be so until 10:15 P.M. when the lights went off. Many of the guys on the courts were drinking, hollering back and forth, using foul language…you get the picture. I went to the office explained what was going on…and asked what time the activities ended. I was told that “no one had ever complained,” and that it would be over at 9 P.M.

Friday morning, the activities started at around 11 A. M. and continued until 10:15 P. M. The guys were hollering back and forth…dropping the “F bomb”….drinking, etc. Saturday the activities were in full swing at 10:00 A. M., and didn’t wrap up until 10:45 P.M….that’s right…they continued even after the lights went out.

The lights were so bright at our campsite, that I was able to sit outside and read a novel. The noise level was so high at times, that we couldn’t hear each other conversing around the campfire. People, children and adults alike were continuously cutting through our campsite…on foot as well as on bicycles.

This was singularly the worst camping experience that I have ever had. When we checked out Monday morning, I asked to speak to a manager and was told that he was not available. I left my phone number and asked for a courtesy phone call…I was told that he “rarely returns phone calls”. I insisted that my number & request be given to him.

A few hours later, Todd called me. I explained what had gone on over the weekend, and he said that there was nothing that could be done about it…because I had already left the campground. When I told him that I had gone to the office on Thursday…he said that “no one had ever complained before,” and there was nothing that he could do, as I had already left the campground. I asked him what else I should have done while I was still in the campground…and was told that I should have gotten a security guard to come and monitor the activity on the site. Wouldn’t that have been a nice relaxing camping experience???? He would have needed to stand on our site for 12+ hours/day.

Ultimately, Todd told me that “next time I should request a different site”. A solid 4/5ths of our experience was unacceptable. In order to minimize the garbage that my granddaughter was exposed to, we stayed away from the site except when we needed to eat or sleep. When I raised the issues to employees, I was told “no one had ever complained before.” Why would I ever return?

Cold Springs bills itself as the “most fun campground in NH”. Not my idea of fun.

E62 should not even be a campsite…it should be used as a buffer around a high activity area.

The check in was fine. We had a golf cart and needed our insurance paperwork. They let us fax it to their office from our insurance representative. After that we were off. We found our site with no more problems than any other campground.

The pools were clean, snack bar was ok, even had to use the laundry. The machine took her money but was refunded with no hassel. We were here for five days and had no problems with the campground or staff.

I had read several negative reviews and was concerned, but when we got there we had no problems. I did notice the place does look dated but it looks like that is being worked on. Parents need to controll their kids, and some need to controll themselves. Other than that was a fine trip, will go back.

The campground is constructed with all concrete pads, 30/50 amp electric on all sites, free wireless Internet, free cable TV, a swimming pool and a hot-tub. Their Clubhouse has a billiard table, and ping pong table. The campground also has a laundry room and showers. The Entire Park Is Gated For Privacy & Security.

This campsite is mostly wooded with plenty of shade. The campground staff were very friendly and the facilities clean and well maintained. This park has seasonal sites as well as short stays, 2 restrooms, each with hot showers, camp store (ice, wood, groceries, camping supplies, and gifts), dumping station, and a large laundry facility.

This trip was the second time we have stayed here without reservations and were lucky enough to be given a site. The swimming pool was super clean and not too crowded as well as their beach and boating facilities.

We’ve been making Twin Tamarack a part of our summer vacations tour now for over couple of years and this is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at Adirondack here. Every experience here has been great!

The wife and I are looking forward to our trip there next year for this great experience and shopping at all the Factory Outlets.
It’s a great place for an overnight stop – we were headed from Pennsylvania to Central Florida.

The campground office is open until 10:30 pm – helpful when you prefer to stop later or if you need a last minute place due to bad weather. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable – $20 – $39; the more expensive sites are 50 amp pull thrus designed for the bigger rigs. In a thunderstorm it was worth the extra money for their ease of access and hookup.

Because of the proximity to the highway and train tracks there is some traffic noise and train noise but it was nothing that impeded us from getting a great nights sleep. We will not hesitate to add it to our short list of places for our “half way there” stop.

I’m not sure what it’s like here in the off season, but if you camp here in the summer be forewarned.

During our stay we tolerated dozens of unsupervised screaming kids running wild throughout the campground. Children continously ran through our campsite during the day and into the night. Even adults would shortcut thru our site while we were sitting there. Cars, trucks, (unmuffled) motorcycles and golf carts zip through the campground well above the posted speed limits. If your’e the type that likes to take a casual walk around the campground, you’ll spend most of your time looking over your shoulder and jumping out of the way of vehicles.

At night expect loud music, drinking and foul language. It appears that this campground is a magnet for that type of camper. While quiet hours are posted, it looks like the word “quiet” is open to interpretation.

They do have quite a few amenities, but it’s so crowded you really never get a chance to enjoy them. The bathrooms and showers are not very well maintained. I’m not sure it’s really the fault of the campground as much as it is of inconsiderate campers.

We endured a summer weekend here. We almost left a day early, but we paid so much for our site we couldn’t bring ourselves to do it.

First, we had to make our reservations a couple of times because for some reason every time we called they did not have the reservation. We reserved a camper site and a tent site. We reserved the tent site for only 3 nights. On our second day we realized that they made yet another mistake with our reservation and it was for only 2 nights. We could either pack up and go home a day early or pack up our entire site and move to another site. We were told that the site we were on was reserved. So we packed up for hours and moved, waisting half of the day. When we left the next day there was still no one in the site they made us move from. We tried to speak to a manager.

I called today to speak to someone and just got a young lady who had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We always go to Cherrystone and because of this issue and they way it was handled we will never visit again. Good luck if you deside to stay there anyway.
