We found Moon River RV Resort through the Good Sam Club.

The campground has big shade trees for the desert (finally some greenery). They do not block your signal, due to the fact they are trimmed regularly. The campground is quiet, clean, comfortable, and pet friendly. They have an awesome staff and managers. It’s a newer park for the area with spacious sites. Our Verizon service worked well and at times, their free wi-fi worked better than our My-fi Internet card. They even have mail service.

The campground is privately owed and well maintained… they have some of the cleanest restroom/showers we’ve ever seen! It’s a great area with many things to do. We kayaked one day and played golf the next, in month of December. We are definitely returning!

Let me start out by saying unfortunately, my friends are not going to allow me to ever pick a place to camp for us again. It was me who suggested this campground to my sister and friends, mainly because it was the only one I could find that could accommodate their 28 ft camper and our pop up and still place us side by side.

We were celebrating my daughters 11th birthday with her cousins who came up from Florida (We are from Virginia). The day after we arrived to the campground, we found that management was very rude. Our children were playing in the grass with our friends dog, when management came out and yelled “Girls, Girls… get off the grass with that dog. No dogs are allowed on the grass.” The area where the children were playing with the dog, had absolutely no signs stating that dogs or people were not allowed. Even the campsite map had a list of rules, but this was not one of them. In other words, there was no way for us to know that playing on the grass was not allowed. It was very embarrassing, since everyone in the surrounding camp area heard and ran out to see why they were upset. Their website says that they provide a large area for the young at heart. We had 4 little girls with us, ages 5, 7, 11 and 11 who were having a great time, however after this incident, everyone in our group felt a bit uneasy. All the kids kept asking if we could please leave, they were all worried about what they were and were not allowed to do in the campground, since playing on the grass with the dog caused such a problem.

In regards to the Greenbriar Island website, it does not show many pictures. I feel that is because all the facilities are run down and poorly managed. The main office picture speaks for itself. Half of the bathroom stalls were out of order, the trash needed to be taken out. It cost a quarter to dry your hands and to get 6 minutes of water for the shower. The soap dispenser was also dirty. I’ve been camping a lot and I’ve seen some bad bath houses, this one would have to be on my bad bathhouse list. If you still decide to camp here bring flip flops.

So, needless to say after that we packed up and left that day. Fortunately we were able to find a campground that had one opening, so we left and our friends stayed. The only nice thing that happened at Greenbriar Island was that they did give our friends both nights free. Which was great . We on the other hand went and camped at another campground, it cost twice as much, but was the nicest RV Park we had ever been to. It was classier, cleaner and nicer. Honestly,  if this was the only campground in the Gatlinburg area, I personally would just not camp or I would seriously consider changing my camping destination to Pigeon Forge, just 15 minutes away. I’ll have to say my daughter’s first birthday will certainly be remembered and spoke of often. I hope this helps in your camping decision.

Two Rivers Campground is a quiet, peaceful place located just 2 miles north of Opryland and Opry Mills.

They have a campstore with a variety of grocery and RV items as well as a gift shop. They have a game room with video games and a pool table. They also have Free WiFi. The attractions in Nashville are too numerous to list, but Two Rivers Campground will gladly help you with all your reservation needs at no additional charge. They have a very friendly staff… they got us Grand Old Opry tickets, booked our tours, and gave us very detailed directions to many of the local sites.

This campground is the cheapest, and cleanest of the 3 parks right in Nashville. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone visiting Nashville.

Cactus RV Park is very nice. The campground is clean and well maintained. The manager/owner was very friendly and made us feel welcome.

The park offers free wifi at your site. The cable tv hookup has lots of channels and they even provide the cable if you don’t have one. The individual campsites are very level. We would highly recommend Cactus RV Park as an overnight stop or even for a few days.

This is the second year in a row we have stayed at Camp Verde RV Resort in August and September.

Camp Verde RV Resort is located in the very heart of the Arizona region, where pine forests, broad valleys, and scenic canyons abound. It is bordered by the Verde River, which feeds a lush greenbelt in this land of mountains, desert, and red-rock canyons. The climate is arid, the summer days often cooled by monsoons rains. Winters on the valley floor are mild.

We love this park with plenty of space, a laid back lifestyle and a fabulous swimming pool. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We have a Class A motorhome with a motorbike and plan on staying here at every opportunity. We are from Seattle.

We were so pleased with Wanderlust RV Park. Our campsite overlooked a beautiful meadow with the hills behind… perfect for sunsets.

The restrooms, showers and laundry were sparkling clean as was the lovely pool area. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and such hard workers… making sure that everything was perfect around the campground. The location was great for Eureka Springs.

We heartily recommend this campground and would definintely stay there again.

Circle Pines KOA was a very nice park. They are conveniently located right off I-40 exit 167.

The campground is near the Grand Canyon and makes for a good base for touring the Canyon, Sedona and other Northern Arizona attractions! They have large lot sizes, with shady spots and a big camp store. Weekends in the summer are very busy as this campground. This KOA also will arrange tours to the canyon and/or have rental cars. They have tent sites, RV sites and cabins, cottages or lodges.

There is a nice family atmosphere at this park. It’s a bit pricier than most KOA’s, but I would return.

Albuquerque KOA is a very nice park located right off I-40 (exit 166) at the base of the Sandia Mountains.

The campground has a great staff, a nice, well-stocked campstore, and a large park with full hookups. The only negative I can think of is that there are very few trees or shade here so it can get pretty warm here in the summer. If you mind the heat, be advised.

That being said, I would still recommend this campground.

We stayed at American RV Park for several months. We were in Albuquerqe to visit with family, but inquired about workcamping positions at the park. This was our 4th workcamping position, so we were experienced and felt the park was a nice place to both live and work.

The park is clean, friendly, and we were well treated. The restrooms are roomy, with lots of warm water, and are kept very clean. The weather was pretty rough for awhile, but the park worked hard at keeping the roads in the park open and everyone comfortable. It is not easy to keep everyone happy, and we saw our share of rude campers who expected everything done their way.

We feel that American RV Park is a good park with good people who did their best most of the time to accommodate everyone. The managers are spending a lot of time updating the park and it really shows. Be sure to give it a try and make your own decisions.

High Rock Lake Marina and Campground is a great family campground. The staff is friendly and the facilities are clean. They also provide FREE cable and wireless internet! The park offers a pool, boat ramp, boat rentals, and a snack bar… you need it they got it!

We spend our entire vacation there every year! The kids love it and so do we. High Rock Lake has 365 miles of shoreline. It’s the 2nd largest lake in North Carolina. They are located in Lexington, in the heart of NASCAR country! Call the for a reservation 800-382-3239!
