We stayed at Camp’n Aire years ago and vowed not to return, not because of the residents but because the campground was old and tired. That’s where the old ends and the new begins…

A few years ago, new owners bought the campground which is now an RV Resort, and I mean that in a great way. Some of our friends who had been staying there contacted us and said, you have got to come back for a visit, if you can get a spot for the season. We took their advise and went down for a visit…

The place is incredible, new electric, new grass, newly remodeled clubhouse, the old RV’s that are sold to new owners have to be totally remodeled to the parks specifications or be removed from the park… they look like brand new park models.

The owner’s are great, they live there and truly do everything to make you want to stay and feel at home. The park was never close to being full before, even during the winter season, now it’s hard to get in. We didn’t, and had to just visit our friends, who had been booked for the season.

I hope we can get back in, we’re on a waiting list and it is worth the wait!

We have traveled the entire country for seven years. We stayed several times at Grand Lake RV and Golf Resort before Morgan Recreation bought the park. We will never stay here again.

We called about a year ago to make a reservation but found the park had changed so much. The park had raised their prices by a substantial amount and the reservation employee was not very friendly. Needless to say we did not stay.

Thinking maybe things had changed we decided to try them again on our way home to south Florida like we used to do. What a mistake. They are even worse. The employee was also very unfriendly like the one before. We said we were not sure if we wanted to stay three or four days. The lady stated that we had to decide at the time of the reservation because you had to pay for the whole stay up front with no refunds allowed. She said they started payment in full up front this year. Needless to say we told her to remove our info from their computer as we would never stay again.

Since there are probably ten other parks in the Ocala area, I believe their attitude will cost them business. Most veteran RVers don’t appreciate bad attitudes.

Elite Resorts at Citrus Valley was basically just a parking lot.

They only had one area to use for showers. It was quite a distance away if you walked all the way around. Otherwise you could walk through the RV spots. If you walked through the RV spots you ran the risk of tripping over low lying metal chains across many of the driveways. You couldn’t see the chains in the sunlight and you couldn’t see the chains in the dark. It was a dangerous situation. I told the manager about it and he said they weren’t going to remove the chains.

We didn’t see much shade. The grass looked like crab grass. Staff wasn’t really very friendly. Also the bathroom smelled. Give it a 1 out of 10 rating.

Suncoast is an old and dated KOA park that has been sold numerous times. The sites are too small and management insist on packing in bigger and bigger units.

No-see-ums are bad as are the fleas. Cats run wild and dog owners are not encouraged to pick up dog waste. When it rains it floods, the too narrow roads are higher than the campsites and drainage is poor. Sites are dirt and patio’s insufficient. Because it’s adjacent to a state wilderness area you’ll have racoon’s, possum’s, armidillo’s and snakes of course.

There is too few washers and dryers for the number of sites and there are always a couple of them down not to mention the propane runs out. If you don’t mind being inconvenienced and are looking for a cheap place to stay then this is it for you, at least the cablevision and internet work.

Simply said, you’ll enjoy your stay at Camp’n Aire RV Resort Park, if you can get in early.

We booked for the winter season during Sept 2009 and there were only two sites left. Almost all of the residents we met had been coming to this place for years and we found out why. Everyone there is friendly, it’s like family, time all the time during your stay. We especially liked the 4:00PM get together’s.

We enjoyed our stay at Treasure Coast RV Park and Campground. The park is very clean and and the facilities are well maintained. The management and staff were very friendly.

It’s the only Florida RV park located within one-mile of both Interstate 95 and the Florida Turnpike. The location means easy access and convenience. The campground is constructed with all concrete pads, 30/50 amp electric on all sites, free wireless Internet, free cable TV, a swimming pool and a hot-tub. Their Clubhouse has a billiard table, and ping pong table. The campground also has a laundry room and showers. The Entire Park Is Gated For Privacy & Security.

I would stay longer next time.

This KOA is located about 4 miles east of I-4 on US Route 192 in Kissimmee, Florida. It’s adjacent to a Sam’s Club and within walking distance of several restaurants.

The campground is quite small and neat as a pin. All of the sites are a comfortable size and well-appointed. They also have “deluxe sites” for a higher rate. They have several “lodges” if you don’t own an RV. These lodges sleep up to six with all the amenities you need. The campground also has a playground, pool, spa, tiki hut, and pet friendly dog-walk areas. There’s also a new meeting room for groups or reunions.

The staff was friendly and helped us with directions to some of the attractions in the area. They had a “stay two nights get a third night free” special when we were there.

We recently stayed at Seasons in the Sun Motorcoach Resort and had a great time. The campground is located about 1/2 mile west of I-95, exit 223 in Mims, Florida. It’s just far enough away from I-95 so you won’t hear much road noise.

The resort consists of 5 distinct camping areas. “The Groves” is an area surrounded by citrus trees, with sites for Class A and Class C motor homes. “The Hammocks” and “The Woods” are two areas tucked away in the woods, with sites for motor homes, fifth wheels and travel trailers. “The Palms” is an area with extra large sites and a tropical feel. “Circle the Wagons” is a rally centrally located in the park but allows you the feeling of being “off to yourselves”.

All sites have hookups for sewer and water, 50/30/20 amp electric, telephone, modem and cable ready. All sites have WiFi. Amenities include private bathhouses, laundromats, tennis courts, shuffle board, nature trails, and planned activities.The facilities were clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly, polite and helpful.

They have a 6000 sq. ft. clubhouse that includes outdoor swimming & lap pools (heated in winter), two spas, a library area, exercise equipment, a full kitchen, TV, billiard area, and a dance floor. (Clubhouse is closed off season 5/1-10/31).

This is a nice campground to spend a few days at. Mims is a short drive from the Atlantic Ocean beaches and Kennedy Space Center, so there’s plenty to keep you occupied during your stay. I recommend Seasons in the Sun to my fellow I-95 travelers!

The Kissimee/Orlando KOA is is a beautiful campground! It’s also fairly new (less than 10 years old). There use to be an old KOA in this location but it was sold and a Sam’s Club was built on the site.

This campground was built just to the south of the old one, right on heavily traveled, highly commercialized US 192. While it’s right in the middle of all the attractions, shops and restaurants, it’s set back far enough to be private and give you a little campground atmosphere.

The facilities are very nice… everything is clean and well maintained. The sites were comfortably large with plenty of pull thru spaces for large rigs. Interior roads are paved and in excellent condition. This campground also has a good mix of amenities including WiFi.

The staff was friendly and accommodating.

We will definitely consider this campground the next time we visit the Disney area.

We have been staying a this great RV Resort for the past few months. Williston Crossings RV resort is a relatively new park opened only about 5-6 years ago and offers many things for the RV’er. The property is well maintained with beautiful landscaping throughout. The streets are well lit too.

They have an absolutely beautiful Clubhouse, an equally nice pavilion and a great little campstore.

There is a lot to see in the nearby community. This campground has great ownership and a wonderful community atmosphere and is a must stop when you are in Central Florida.
