There were no grates provided for the fire rings. You could buy them at the campground store but they should have been provided or rentable. You could also buy wood at the store but they were sold in batches of 5 pieces for about as much as it would cost you to buy a bag full at the local Ingles but the Ingles bag would have about 4 or 5 times as much wood in it.

Our sites were directly across from the bathrooms (which was nice) but you would have to climb a steep hill to get to them. There were stairs but each step was at least a foot high so they weren’t easy to climb. There were only 2 lamps along the stairs that would light but they were solar powered so, not only were they barely lit but didn’t light for very long at all. As for the bathrooms themselves, you could tell the floors were rarely, if ever, swept/washed and neither hand soap nor paper towels for hand wiping were provided.

We complained to management about there being no grates, hand soap, paper towels and working lighting for the steps and were told that they were not a state park so they did not have to provide any of that and that if we didn’t like it, we could simply move on to another campground.

I do not recommend this campground to anyone because I feel that the management cares more about providing for themselves than providing the customer service that all customers desire and most definitely deserve.

It is nestled between mountains with numerous streams and waterfalls running right through the campground. There are cabins, RV sites (full hookups) and tent sites. There is a playground, fishing pond and an organic farm where fresh vegetables in season are available for purchase plus numerous farm animals for children to visit. Some meals are available on weekends.

The Lodge has a small store and native American jewelry and crafts for sale. This is a very conservation oriented park with a friendly and helpful staff. Numerous attractions are close by including Brasstown Bald Mountain (highest peak in GA), Georgia Mountain Fair, Alpine Helen and numerous natural scenic areas and hiking trails. It is a not-for-profit organiztion and there is no sales tax.

We have seen all the changes over the years. The owners have made and are still making improvements.

The staff in the office are the best. All their employees are hard workers and make sure each customer feels welcomed. They are polite in returning a call and get you where you need to the go. If their is a problem, it’s handled as quickly as possible, to make want to you stay a few more days.

The grounds and facilities are always clean and well maintained. The campground is off the main highway, but there is no road noise, just a few trains from time to time. Not always, just a reminder you are close to town.

We were there from July 2nd to July 6th, and took in the 4th of July firework shows. We had a great time. See you guys in a few weeks. Save a spot for me!

The beauty of the North Georgia Mountains is captured in this sanctuary.

The campsites were exceptionally maintained. Our site (#18), had a deck overlooking a flowing stream which allowed for a flock of Cajun Crecent ducks to pass by twice a day. We hiked endless miles of trails straight from camp, including the A-Trail. The waterfalls were a spectacular end to our day hikes, and pictures simply can’t do them justice.

The acreage is expansive at Enota, and no sites are cramped together. The campfires are great in conjunction with the constant sounds of flowing water, and we found the most peaceful rest we have had in a long time. The staff took a special interest in making us welcome and comfortable.

We will be returning annually, and we truly believe that this is a must-stay for campers coming to the area. We’ve already invited all of our friends for the next trip.

They have free wi-fi too. Our signal was quite good from our site. They have a nice little campstore with all the basics.

They are a little close to I-95, but we were never that bothered by the traffic noise. Santee Lakes Campground is a good overnight stopover if you’re traveling thru the area. It’s clean, well maintained and comfortable.

This KOA has an absolutely super staff. The campground has very clean restrooms and lots to do for kids.

Amenities include a Pavilion, a seasonal snack bar, and wireless Internet. Also, they have a nice swimming pool (open from May 13 – September 12), mini golf, fishing, bike and boat rentals, tubing and a game room.

We would definitely recommend this KOA to anyone with a family, and we plan on returning next summer!

They include cable TV, Wi-Fi and full hook-ups. There are very few pull thru sites, but we have a 40ft 5th wheel and had no problems backing into our site. There was plenty of space. This campground is very close to the Bristol Motor Speedway. The staff even recommended some places to eat and provided a sheet of local places and directions.

We will re-visit this campground often.

I found this to be one of the most tranquil places left on the east coast.

The facilites are very clean, and the staff is the best. The water is so clean in the river that you can drink it directly. I sat out in the middle of the river on some of the smooth flat rocks, and I have to say it was the most relaxing moment I have had in years. I have camped my entire life, and visited many places, but nothing quite compares to Brown Mountain Beach.

If you need even more quiet time, drive up the road a mile or so, and visit the trails. You will see what life was like before our modern time. Incredible! I found them at www.brownmountainbeach.com

The staff keeps the grounds nice and clean. They are very helpful also.

We enjoy staying there, but there are a few problems. If you stay around 4th of July the fireworks noise lasts for another at least 4-5 days. Fireworks should be on the 4th not on any other day. At night there is a problem with golf carts! The kids there do not respesct the rules of the campground when it comes to driving. I look around and see underage children driving and fast! No respect for others! The campground security does not enforce the golf cart good enough. I understand that it is a huge campground but security is not good enough.

The sites have plenty of room with full hook ups. By the way, make sure you rent a golf cart to get around there because the property is huge!
