Country Haven Campground – New Holland, PA
Joel and Roz Bieler started Country Haven Campground and had it for years so when it was sold several years ago I was worried it wouldn’t be as good.
Not to worry. Of all the many campgrounds we go to this is by far the best. We have been going so long that we know many of the people living in the area, all who are nice. Make sure to go to the bake shop across the street on Friday and Saturday for really good food and to Bieler’s fruit stand just up the street for fresh garden goodies. The food is good and the prices are too. The people who have these places are Amish so be on your best behavior. They are wonderful people and aren’t used to anything different.
You’ll really like it here but it isn’t the best place for little children. It’s just nice and quiet. Not a lot for children to do although there is a swing. This place is a plus.
Cactus RV Park – Tucumcari, NM
Cactus RV park has very spacious sites and easy to get into. It’s an older RV Park and certainly not a “resort”, but it’s clean, comfortable and the managers were very courteous and made us feel at home. The Wireless Internet was great. Plus they have cable TV.
This campground makes a great overnight stopover because it’s easy on-off plus it’s near several fast-food restaurants nearby.
It’s also close to downtown Tucumcari. We enjoyed our stay in Cactus RV Park and would recommend it to anyone passing thru the area.
Boyd’s Key West Campground – Key West, FL
Boyd’s Campground has one thing going for it… it’s the closest campground to Key West. We were a bit hesitant when we got off of US Route 1 and headed toward’s Boyd’s. The neighborhood along the way to the campground appeared to be quite depressing. But once the campground appeared it looked like a lush tropical oasis.
The interior roads were mostly well maintained gravel. The campsites were quite close together with little privacy, but this is premium property and understandable. Actually we’ve stayed in other oceanside campgrounds in the northeast that were just as crowded. They do have quite a few additional charges for amenities. Amenities include 50 amp and 30 amp hookups, a heated swimming pool, a lounging beach, 24 hour security, Free WiFi, a marina, a gift and = convenience store and 4 bathhouses. The campground is reasonably well maintained.
They are located right on the water… and they charge to put a boat in the water… they charge for your trailer… and they charge dock rental. Rates are quite high… over $100 a night for a full hookup but again, this is prime camping real estate.
Victoria Palms RV Resort – Donna, TX
Victoria Palms RV Resort must be the most beautiful park in the Rio Grande Valley… it is so clean and well maintained for such a large park.
The facilities are of the country club level and there is also a wonderful restaurant and hotel on location. There is a 24 hour manned security gate and several dog walks. They have a professional health club with two spas and a huge pool, an 18 hole, par 72 golf course and historic club house, a huge ballroom, poolside bar, and a new 10,000 sq. ft. Activity Building
We loved our stay and will continue to come back and will consider purchasing a mobile home here in the future.
Cedar Court RV Park – Springerville, AZ
Cedar Court RV Park is a nice, small quiet campground located in Springerville Arizona.
We camped here in a 5th wheel and had a wonderful stay. They have a laundromat on site and are just off of main street. The campground is within walking distance to McDonald’s, a grocery store, a hardware store and other stores and restaurants. There are also historic buildings within a few blocks including the movie theater.
The campground has wide drives with easy back-ins. This seems like a great four season area and they have apartments and mobile homes for rent. We will be back.
