Don Laine Family Campground – Palmerton, PA
Don Laine is a beautiful campground off US 209 and the Northeast extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
The campsites are level and gravel. They have a big store with a cafe for breakfast or lunch. The property has wonderful views of the rolling grass hills all around. The bath house is immaculate.
The only bad things are the bottom of the hill sites do not have cable or sewer. There are several local TV station viewable with your antenna. Wi-fi is available for $3.00 a day. They have a big hall for club meetings and a pool on site.
This is in the heard of Carbon county. It’s a great place for a 3 day getaway. They ask for $2.50 a day more if you use your air conditioner but it’s the honor system.
Strawberry Park Resort Campground – Preston, CT
We rented a park model unit at Strawberry Park Resort Campground. The unit was roomy, very clean, with full size appliances, full size shower and toilet. The unit was in a nice location, with a deck and picnic table.
Our stay was fun filled, and there was always something to do for the whole family. The public rest rooms were the cleanest rest rooms in any camp ground I have ever stayed at! Bravo to the cleaning staff.
Riptide RV Park – Key Largo, FL
Riptide RV Park is located on the Overseas Highway (US 1) at Mile Marker 97.2 in Key Largo, Florida…. one of the best places to fish and snorkling.
There is nothing more relaxing than sitting by the warm waters of Florida Bay and listening to the seagulls while the sun sets magnificently over the bay. The campground is small but it’s a nice, cozy place to stay and away from all the hussle and bussle of bigger campgrounds.
Every site includes Water, Sewer, Electricity, Internet, and Cable. Pets are welcome with a one-time fee of $25. There is a daily fee of $10.00 or a $75.00 monthly fee for use of boat ramp and dock.
Golden Valley RV Park – Kingman, AZ
Golden Valley RV Park is small, clean, and quiet campground.
It’s a good deal with free wifi and cable. They have friendly managers who are always cleaning around the property. They are located right off US highway 93 but it needs better signage. It’s right behind a Jerky store with a highway crossover.
We will stay here again.
Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park – Emporia, VA
Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park is located on US Route 301, between exits 13 & 17 on I-95. This campground is a nice place with a large pool, friendly staff, and shady level gravel covered drive thru sites.
The campground has great wi-fi. There is an additional charge of $2.00 for cable if desired. They have a basic store too. Yogi bear comes out at 6:30 pm to give wagon rides around the park. The park is only about 5-10 minutes off I-95.
The travel books and signs say to use I-95 exit 17 but exit 13 is easier and has fewer turns.
