If you’re traveling I-95, Sleepy Bear is conveniently located off exit 14, just south of Lumberton, North Carolina. We camped there several weeks ago on our way south to Florida.

The park was clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly. Sites are level, paved and comfortably sized. There seems to be a little road noise from the Interstate, but it’s not excessive. After an hour or two we didn’t even notice it.

Full hook-ups and pull-thru are available. All your typical amenities are here… pool, laundry, playground, pavilion, game room and adult lounge. There is a nice little campstore with a limited supply of groceries and camping supplies.

I would rate Sleepy Bear above average. If you’re headed down I-95, and it’s about that time, this is an acceptable overnighter.
