Loading ...At first site this campground seems very nice. After a few days here we decided that the months reservations we made here should be cut short because of unfriendly staff, owners and nothing on the calendar to do.
There was no air conditioning in the nice little bar, laundry roon, bath house. It is July and hot!!!! One of the bath houses was not open and we were told that it would be open by July 4th weekend. NOT OPEN… Our fifth wheel had to be pulled into a site instead of backed in as usual in order to use the hookups that are put on the left for motor homes.The campground is being geared toward seasonal campers. They want all the waterfront sites to be seasonal and the rest of us can stay on the inside lots. We have a reservation for a month and there is NO refund for early departure.
We loved the view and the water. It did not rain for 3 weeks. The roads were very dirty and dusty. A new gate had been installed but we didn’t get a number to punch in. They must see you and open the gate. If you are late getting in you need to call them to open the gate for you.
In our opinion the campground could be the best ever. COULD BE!!! It is not at this time. The campsite itself is huge bluestone and very hard to walk on. The so called beach was full of Canadian Geese and what they leave behind. It isn’t even in the gated area of the campground. They don’t keep the grounds nice and we had to ask them to cut the weeds around out site. We were told that they don’t take care of the sites for seasonal people. We are not seasonal and don’t carry a lawn mower in our fifth wheel.
We are full time RV’rs and will not return to this campground for $1000.00 a month and we pay our own electric. Couldn’t wait to leave here.
