Spent last twenty years there as a seasonal camper. The new owners do not make camping a fun experiance. Their rates have become competitive with everyone elses but they offer nothing for what they are charging! The campers have been doing all the entertainment for the campground and that is all over. The pond is infested with leechs and weeds, not to mention the algea. This campground is losing 15-25 seasonal campers this year that most have averaged over 10 years seasonal there. There are plenty other campgrounds out there that can make your family camping a much nicer experience!

I have also been at crown point for 20 years. I pulled out this year due to the new owners. I will miss everyone (seasonal campers). The kids that grow up there know that they are not to cut through campsites. They know the rules. However we always problems with the weekend campers. All the activities were put on by the campers not the owners.
The owners were only interested in how much money they can make down at the hall or what it was going to cost them. The kids that were up at the camp ground or are still are great kids. As I said before weekend people who came in caused the problems. For example teenagers came in this summer and got drunk. The owner wanted them to pack up and leave. They were still drunk. Nice to know he wanted them to drive out of the campground drunk.
The teenagers were very wiling to help out with any activities even having there band play down at the beach and setting up halloween decoration. What is basically comes down to is that owners do not like kids(teenagers). Question - Do you want your kids at this type of campground. This owner does not know what he lost, great seasonal campers willing to help anyone.

We seen this park at a camping show and wanted to try something new so we went here in july was everything they said and advertise it to be. We went back again and plan on going next year would recomend it to anyone. They always seem to be staff working on cleaning or improveing things. I dont know what others are complaining about seems to me they don\’t like change.

We stayed here this past August… better than average campground with a good schedule of activities for the kids. Pond was nice. Campstore had all the essentials. Facilities were clean but could use some updating. Owners were friendly. Rates were reasonable. For the most part the sites were a good size. Too many seasonal campers… they set up shop and fill their site with ugly lights, painted stones and knick-knacks. Some are really dumpy. We were near some seasonals with kids who regularly ran across our site even while we were sitting there. Parents were nearby and did nothing. Oh well, another generation of inconsiderate campers in the making.
Other than the seasonals and unsupervised kids, Crown Point is a nice little campground.

Its a very sad day as usual when campers close up their campers for the season except this year more sad then usual. I have been going to Crown Point Campgrond now for over 20 yrs. My kids learned what camping was all about in this campground. They have gone there every year since they were young, had their summer friends who they still feel are some of their closest friends. But this has all come to an end as of today. There are new owners who had taken over the campground last year. Now we have gone through \"4\" other owners since we had started camping there and all continuted well until this year. They (new owners) came in with all these new rules, raised all the long term seasonals prices (and I mean \"raised\" them), and are really looking out for themself, not their campers. So when I say it was a sad day closing up today its because alot of the seasonals that we had camp there with for yrs. had once again closed up but not just for the season but for good, they will not be returning. Its oh so sad. I watched many of these kids go from young children into adults who was also now seasonals there and wanted the same for their children who will not get it (at lease not in this campground) and its to bad. If these new owners were smart they would of contintued to try to make their long term seasonals happy so they would hold on to them and those same seasonals would then have their kids come back as seasonals as well. Camping is a business that is a word of mouth type business and the way these owners are going the word of mouth isen\’t a good thing right now. So to end this sad day I will say I was always sad to close for the season but happy to know I would be returning to see these people again but next year when I close up I think I might be even sadder because I think that may be my last year closing up in that campground as well. Its to bad but the good thing is due to having those last 20 years we have gotton close with alot of them who we will still keep in touch with. And who knows, maybe we\’ll all find another campground willing to take on our \"big\" family that we have become.
