Dillon KOA – Dillon, MT
We stayed at Dillon KOA recently after spending the night at Bannack State Park. The sites were very small. We tried to put out our awning and we could not because it would hit our neighbors. We could not get a site with full hook ups, even though we made our reservations way ahead of time. The park overall needs some TLC. The customer service is not very friendly at all. We could not understand how this park got a Presidental Award. We hope the next KOA we have reservations for in Mt. will be better.

Everyone has the opportunity to rate a campground. The ratings displayed are an average of all ratings submitted. The original poster submitted a review but did not submit a rating. 2 other visitors submitted their ratings. The rating shown above is the average of those two ratings.
I don’t understand why the “anonymous” poster who reviewed in Sept of 2007 rated this park 5 stars YET had so many complaints, which may have been valid . . . I don’t know as I’ve never stayed there. My comment is this, many of us look for a park to stay based on the star ratings overall and may not take the time to read the entire review(s). This person’s post did not serve the purpose intended.
This park is the only one in town with a swimming pool. It’s great for kids and has a nice size play ground… they also have lots of room for tents.

I own a campground in Dillon, Montana and I send camper’s to Dillon KOA… yes they are the only park in Dillon that has a swimming pool and that is important to some campers and they are the only RV park in town with a playground. The kids can also enjoy a petting zoo there. We also send tenter’s to Dillon KOA… they have a very large area for them and some have electric. All the campgrounds here try to work together to insure all camper’s enjoy their stay in Dillon, Montana.
