We visited Point Sebago Resort last fall after viewing their video brochure. The campground is located on the shores of Sebago Lake, Southern Maine’s largest lake. The property is huge… 775 acres. It’s a great setting and they have lots of amenities, activities and entertainment options.

Campsites were a little on the small side and our site was in need of some “housekeeping” once we arrived. There seemed to be a large number of seasonal campers and time share types, which takes away from our vacation experience. Oh well, we may be seasonal campers some day so I shouldn’t complain.

During our visit the office staff seemed a bit unfriendly. The activity staff were mostly young adults that seemed to spend most of their time with other teens rather than concentrate on activity supervision.

We plan on heading up to Maine again this summer but we don’t plan on returning to Point Sebago.

We also looked into Point Sebago Resort for our Maine Vacation in September \’05. From the brochures and website the place looked great, until we took a closer look. We noticed from the site map that only seasonals/rentals are near the lake while the \"road trippers\" were shoved off to one side. Your review has confirmed my observation.

We chose to stay at Poland Spring Campground instead, and we had the place to ourselves. Thank-you for confirming the beauty of our last minute change of plans!
