Loading ...We recently spent a week at Flat Rock Ridge in Lebanon, Maine. We were very dissappointed with the securty and the owner. I did not consider the facilities to be very clean, and they didn’t seem to care. The pool was dirty and the whirlpool scummy. The pond they call a “beach” was dirty. Stolen bikes seemed to be a common problem up there too.The owner agrued with us when we wanted to return a product that broke. The river their brouchure that shows tubbing was not clean at all and no one would even go in river. I have to say the kings side was even worse. The seasonal campers on that side were very unfriendly and rude.
I would not consider Flat Rock Ridge a good famly campground… very unpleasent atmosphere. I would not recommend this campground to anyone.

We also spent a few days at Flat Rock Bridge and there are four hot tubs one was empty and full of trash and we went on the other side to use those and when we got in noticed a ring at the water line, also we had a film on us when we got out. That of course was after they were occupied by children under 18. We had to wait about 20 minutes for them to get out. Another turn off was there is a building in the pool area and people were jumping off the building into the pool. A definate accident waiting to happen. When we complained to the staff about our experience he wouldn’t even stop to hear us nor have any eye contact. I asked a staff member that was nearby who I just tried to speak to and he said the owner. The man was very rude. Would never return.

I have read reviews of the old Kings and Queens on other sites and it seems it was not a well thought of campground. If you liked it better before, that just seems strange. We recently spent a weekend at Flat Rock and enjoyed the family activities and appreciated the security guys keeping things quiet. They never talked to us, but we knew they were there as there was one site nearby that they did speak to who was being noisy. The brand new pool is beautiful and we had a great time. The owner was even working the waterslide and joking around with all the kids. My kids can’t wait to go back.
