Outpost RV Campground – Salt Lick, KY

Loading ...Holy crap, steer clear of this place. It’s a great example of genetics gone wild. We only used it as an overnight but we saw a lot of crap. The best part was the $20 fee for 3-way hook-up.
When we arrived, the place was a traffic jam of young children racing around in golf carts, mini-bikes, ATV’s, etc. I couldn’t back up enough to feel safe.
The sites are lined up in a tree free field and packed tight. Dogs run free, the bathrooms and showers are just barely useable. The basic rules of RV camping are broken here. Our neighbors were very nice people, near the end of their motorhome lifestyle. If not for them, we would have nothing nice to say about this campground.
Enough said, we moved on.

Unbeliveable,This place was a 3 ring circus. It is a family park and CHILDREN are allowed to run amuck on their ATV’s, golf carts, bikes,motorcycles. etc. I had to get out of bed and asked the kid’s at 11:30 pm to please be quiet. The next day we found rocks and gravel on the back of our rv. The staff and other resident’s were not very friendly. I won’t be back.
This is a very family oriented campground. I have spent the past 8 summers there. There’s a laundry room, pool, playground, basketball and volleyball on site. I highly recomend this campground.

This is a trailer park, not a campgroud as advertised. If you like to be kept awake until the early hours of the morning by loud music, atv’s, golf carts, etc. along with police visits complete with arrests at all hours of the night then this is the place to be.
