Alpen Rose is a great campgound and located in a beautiful setting. They do have a problem with booking sites and I wouldn't complain but it has happened more than once. It is very disapointing to arrive and find that the campsite you reserved 8 months previous to arrival and paid $100 deposit on had been given to someone else. We were meeting a group of friends and thought we were all booked in the same area (large rig sites). My husband and I discovered we had been moved to the other side of the park not even close to the rest of our group. Very upsetting, they did end up moving us a little closer but certainly not what we were expecting and looking forward to. Put a real damper on a trip we had been planning since last February. So beware when you are booking a site!
