Western Hills Campground – Rawlins, WY
(7 visitors have rated this campground.) Loading ...There is a “dearth” of campgrounds along Interstate 80. I stopped at Western Hills Campground to wait out a harsh snow and wind storm. The hosts were very nice and let me have “late” checkout if I needed due to the weather and driving conditions.

Sheridan/Big Horn Mountain KOA – Sheridan, WY

Loading ...While this KOA campground was a convenient park to get to… it’s just off of the freeway, the smell from the dumpsite was the worst that I have ever smelled. It was so bad, you couldn’t open your windows to sleep. We were just there overnight and couldn’t wait to get out of the campground.
Ponderosa Campground – Cody, WY
(1 visitors have rated this campground.) Loading ...Ponderosa Campground (http://www.codyponderosa.com) was a great place to stay. It’s conveniently located near downtown Cody, but was quiet, too. There’s tons of great things to do near the park, including Yellowstone National Park, Buffalo Bill State Park, the Buffalo Bill Dam, Buffalo Bill Museum, hiking, rafting, fishing, and hunting.
RV World Campground – Rawlins, WY
(rate this campground) Loading ...RV World Campground is clean and well-maintained and Dale & Veida (the owners) couldn’t be nicer! They really made us feel at home, and gave us great advice about all of the things to do here. We never knew that the Rawlins, WY area was so interesting! We ended up staying 5 nights in order to fit in everything we wanted to do!
