We payed for a week, but we left before staying the first night!

Our site was a pull-through that had only gravel; no picnic table, no campfire ring, and no tree for shade for within 50 yards. The campground is settled by a very large number of long-term permanent residents with campers in all states of disrepair for permanent hook-ups, skirtings for insulation, and just junk. In my opinion, the man who checked us in was not very friendly.

Although we left before staying a night, we had to go back to pick-up 2 packages delivered for us by UPS: When we picked up our boxes we simply took our boxes from a pile with no one questioning if they were even ours. Without question the worst campground I ever paid to stay at!

B.J.’s is a beautiful little campground with grassy sites, picnic tables and patios. They have very long pull throughs and squeeky clean bathrooms. They are nice people! The campground is very quiet!

We had a great experience!

Indian Campground is located right off I-90 on US 16. They are located halfway between Mount Rushmore and Yellowstone National Park.

This great park has places for any sized rig. Sites are level gravel. They also have grassy tent sites right next to a stream and cabin rentals. Amenities include cable TV, FREE Wi-Fi, 50 amp full hook-up 75′ pull thrus, large pull thrus with full hookups, or just water and electric. Also a 24 hour laundromat, hot showers and bathrooms. The campstore has RV supplies, gifts and souvenirs. They also have a large heated swimming pool.

The staff was very friendly and the facilities were clean and well maintained. The campground is within easy walking distance of several fine restaurants, a mini golf course and ice cream parlor. Prices are reasonable. We paid $38 a night for a full hook-up including cable tv and wi-fi.

There are several campgrounds in town and I think this one is the best.

RV World Campground is clean and well-maintained and the staff couldn’t be nicer! They really made us feel at home, and gave us great advice about all of the things to do here.

We never knew that the Rawlins, WY area was so interesting! We ended up staying 5 nights in order to fit in everything we wanted to do! We went for a nice hike in the hills right behind the campground, took a long, scenic drive through the Medicine Bow forest, toured the historic Old Wyoming State Penitentiary, and strolled along the beautiful North Platte River.

We stayed at Peter D’s RV Park in Sept. 2010 because our friends recommended it to us. We had two RV’s and we stayed 3 days.

When we checked in Peter D gave us a map of the city and highlighted the places we should visit and where we should eat. One recommendation was the Wyoming Rib and Chop and we had a marvelous meal and a great time there. At check in he asked where our next stop was and gave us a South Dakota travel planner plus a Mount Rushmore and the badlands brochure. He also gave us directions to Custer’s battlefield going a scenic route instead of the freeway.

The park had the cleanest bathrooms and laundry we have ever been to. Peter D’s cleans them several times a day.Our site was clean and level and we had 50 amp and city water with great pressure. The WiFi was free and worked great and the cable had 66 channels.

It is my opinion that anyone not recommending Peter D’s are people that never follow the rules, do stupid things, and damage things and then when they are called on it they get on the internet and whine about the owner instead of owning up to their own mistakes.

We would stay at Peter D’s again and will recommend it to anyone headed in that direction without hesitation.

We have stayed at Coulter Bay Village Campground and RV Park which is a first come first served National Park campground (Dry Camping)
For $20.00 a night, $10.00 for Golden Age or Golden Access Passport, you get a site with a picnic table, fire pit and access to water and flush bathrooms.

Showers are available at the village laundrette with attendents. In the village you can find a general store, museum, marina, restaurant, gift shop and a host other various activites. A short order grill is available that has wonderful food. Be prepared for a wait but well worth it. The chili is wonderful for an evening meal and menu for breakfast is great.

There is an RV Park with full hook ups located there in which reservation will need to be made. $55.00 a night in season and $42.00 a night late season. No fire pits but you do have picnic tables. There is horseback riding and lots of scenic hiking trails and nightly fire-side chats.

We have stayed there at least 5 times and will be back many more times as it is a wonderful place to stay and site see from to Yellowstone, Jackson Hole and points beyond.

If you go to Elk mountain you can see Elk coming down from the mountain to feed around dusk. There is a scenic photo-op from the top of Elk Mountain. Be sure to visit it.

You exit off the Interstate from Nebraska, but cross to Wyoming. If you just need to do some laundry and don’t want to pay a lot for full hookups, this will work. But it’s not the greatest place…

You get full hookups, water, sewer, electric, and laundry and showers. The laundry and showers were so-so. It was adequate for the price. The sites are all on grass. When I got there, no one was on duty… it was self registration. There was a Good Sam logo, so I contacted the phone number displayed to inquire as to whether I can take the Good Sam discount. It rang to the police station. The person who answered the phone said that the police station answers the phone on weekends. Lovely. They weren’t sure if I could take the discount or not, so I was told to wait and pay in the morning. Guess what, it turned out I COULD take the discount! I paid $18, full price was $20 as of this writing.

The sites are grassy, and are “front and back twosies.” Sites 1-24 are for the overnighters. Other sites are for perms. There were a few perms there at the time. This is an area that can get windy, and it was windy the night I stayed there.

Our family stayed at Indian Campground during the summer and enjoyed our visit very much. The park is very scenic with plenty of trees and shade. The owners and staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome.

The campsites were gravel and level and a comfortable size. The entire property appeared to be well maintained… including the facilities. The bathrooms were squeaky clean. They had a very nice pool for the kids too! The camp store was well stocked and had a nice selection of gifts and local souvenirs.

Indian Campground is about halfway between Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone so it was a good base to visit these attractions a we had a week to spend exploring the area. I highly recommend this campground.

We were passing through the area one weekend and decided to try Ponderosa Campground as our overnight stay. They had upgrading some of their campsites and we got one with a concrete pad.

Ponderosa Campground is within walking distance (although it’s a bit of a hike) of Cody’s downtown area complete with museums, shops and restaurants.

About the park… The owners and staff were friendly and helpful. The restrooms and showers were clean and very well maintained. The only negatives… it was a bit crowded when we stayed and it tends to get a little dusty because of the gravel roads. If you’ve got a big rig, they have a section just for us… big pull-thru sites, 50 amp hookups and cable TV. They also have free wi-fi.
