Carthage RV Park - Carthage, TN
Carthage RV Park was a nice campground with extremely friendly, helpful staff. The sites had all concrete level RV pads, and the utilities were in good shape and well positioned on the site. There was standard cable TV with plenty of choices for basic TV. There was plenty of grass between the sites but there […]
Graceland RV Park - Memphis, TN
Graceland RV Park was a nice campground with extremely friendly, helpful staff. The sites had level, gravel RV pads, and the utilities were in good shape and well positioned on the site. There was no cable TV but the reception on the Memphis TV stations was adequate for news, weather, cartoons etc. There was plenty […]
Two Rivers Campground - Nashville, TN
Two Rivers Campground was a nice park with extremely friendly, helpful staff. The sites had level, gravel RV pads, and a great concrete patio with picnic table. The utilities were in good shape and were well positioned on the site. There was no cable TV but the reception on the Nashville TV stations was adequate for news, weather etc. There was plenty of grass between the sites and a nice amount of shade. The sites were a bit close, but still plenty of room and I had no problems backing in my 33? fifth wheel.
Wilderness RV Park, Lynchburg, TN
Unless you are desperate, I would keep driving. The reason we originally selected this park was because it was the only one I could find in the area.
We pulled in and selected a site, but never saw any personnel. The campground was a deserted, hilly, un-level rocky field of weeds. The actual site was reasonably level, but the utilities were terribly positioned at the very back of the pad. I had to use my extension for my electric and would have had to use my extensions for sewer and water had we planned to use full hook-ups. We were only staying for the night so we planned to use the campground restrooms instead of hooking up.
Creekside RV Park - Pigeon Forge, TN
Creekside RV Park was a very nice campground, at a great price. We paid about $27 with GS discount. Like all the parks in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area, the sites were very close together, but from what we saw from the other parks that we drove through, this park has as much room as any of them and more than most of them.
Great Smoky Jellystone Camp Resort - Gatlinburg, TN
Great Smoky Jellystone Camp Resort has clean facilities and plenty of kids activities. However, our campsite, and many of the campsites that we saw, were so small that we were too uncomfortable to enjoy those aspects. When we set up our campsite, we set up both our pop-up and a screen room. The site was so small that when the screen room was set up, it was touching both our camper and the camper next to ours.
Raccoon Mountain Campground - Chattanooga, TN
Raccoon Mountain Campground is a beautiful park. It is set out of the cluster of Chattanooga, but still close enough to enjoy all of the area attractions. I think it was only 5 miles from downtown Chattanooga. Nice big rig sites! Clean bathrooms, and a nice staff. We will be back guys. Thanks for a wonderful camping experience.
Black Bear Cove - Polk, Tennessee
Black Bear Cove is in Polk County, Tennessee… just minutes away from rafting on the Ocoee River and is located on the Hiwassee River which has great class 1 and 2 rapids and trophy trout fishing.
The sites are 50 to 70 ft. deep. The bathhouses are beautiful and are heated and cooled. There is a laundry, camp store, playground, volleyball, horseshoes, and a pavilion. The campground is a great place for walks and has tons of activities.
Two Rivers Campground - Nashville, TN
Two Rivers Campground has Free WiFi. They have a very friendly staff… they got us Grand Old Opry tickets, booked our tours, and gave us very detailed directions to many of the local sites. This campground is the cheapest, and cleanest of the 3 parks right in Nashville.
Misty River Cabins & RV Resort - Walland, TN
We stayed at Misty River Cabins & RV Resort over this past Labor Day weekend and had a great time. The campground had just opened a few weeks before we stayed and the only bad thing was that the grass was thin in some spots so when it rains you have a few muddy spots, but not to bad.
What we really loved was the bath house! It had private bath rooms just like home. You go in and close the door behind you and its all yours. I have never seen bathrooms like this in any campground… you’ve got to see them.
