Rush-No-More RV RV Resort and Campground is the perfect name for this beautiful, peaceful, quiet campground located 20 miles west of Rapid City, South Dakota.

At one mile off Interstate 90, exit 37 one would never know it – it is so peaceful. The sites are spacious and the full hookups are easily accessible. Some sites are more secluded and there are even a few with paved patio areas and a hot-tub!

The grounds are very clean and neat, as is the pool, laundry and the cabins. This would be a great place to stay whether for one day or one week. We stayed one week and felt at home from the time we arrived. The owner was very accomadating, giving us a ride around the campground to make sure we were satisfied with our site location.

The drive we had to the various tourist attractions in this area was well worth it to be able to come home each nite to such a beautiful place.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park is a great little campground, and reasonably priced.

The campground and facilities are very clean and they have up to date restrooms and showers. The staff is very friendly. All of their 54 RV sites are pull thrus with 20/30 amp and some 20/30/50 amp. They also have a choice of water and electric with a dump station or full hookup sites with cable TV. The campground also has free Wi-Fi. They have 40 tent sites and a heated swimming pool too.

Sleepy Hollow is located just one block from the world famous Wall Drug. The City of Wall, The Window to the West, is also at the west entrance of the Badlands National Park Loop and bordering the Buffalo Gap National Grasslands. Mount Rushmore and Sturgis are about an hour drive.

Lazy J is a quiet, clean RV park with wonderful owners.

They are working hard on making this park nice, painting, mowing lawns, the bad weather had hindered the work, but it’s really looking nice. But that’s not the best part, it’s the owners I really liked. They are so nice, friendly, helpful, we made some new friends. We stayed here for 6 weeks, while getting settled in our new home state, just started full timing.

Our site was spacious with a nice view of the city below. It was very quiet also, we like peace and quiet, and they are pet friendly. We stayed in a 40′ 5th wheel, and I would recommend this rv park to others. The campground is near all the Black Hills things, yet close to the city for shopping.

Red Barn RV Park is a great little campground just of I-29, exit 73 and about 12 miles south of the intersection of I-90.

The campground has full hookups, and level, gravel pull thru sites. Each site has a picnic table and patio. They also have super clean bathrooms! They also have wi-fi, but it’s only available in specific locations within the property.

Red Barn has very reasonable rates. I recommend this campground and will return.

My wife and I were in the process of renewing our drivers license and we needed a RV Park Campground or Motel receipt for the D M V. We stayed at Tower Campground for 7 days.

The new managers were very helpful and friendly. Our space had full hookups including cable. Everything, including the cable, worked great. It is evident the managers are working hard to improve the campground. Our space was under trees so our motor home was well shaded. This was a clean, nice place to park our home on wheels.

When we picked up our mail at Alternative Resources the lady told us that a new car dealer has bought this block of an apartment building, a mobile home park, and the campground. They have removed the old junk trailers out of the mobile home park and are putting in large clean R V sites. The campground is next door and looks to be getting cleaned up also.

We were very happy with the space and the service provided. We would stay here again if we are in the area.

We had some concerns about a stay here due to some poor reviews. We needed to switch campgrounds here is Sioux Falls and were told that Tower had been working to restore thier image.

We have been here a couple of days and feel like the managers have been working hard to restore the campground’s image. They are really helpful and respond to any request with a great attitude. I used the laundry and found it clean and the machines in good order. The bathrooms and showers were clean. Some work needs to be done still but it appears that is underway.

Not much for the kids but that isn’t a problem for us. It’s a mom and pop type operation. We would stay here again. I would give it a 6 out 10.

The Roost Resort is a small campground located in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The park is quiet and peaceful and in a beautiful location. The Resort consists of 7 cabins, 2 family cabins, a kamping kabin, and a small campground and RV Park.

The campground consists of 12 RV sites and 5 tent sites. The property has outstanding views of the Black Hill’s forest and granite peaks. Most of the sites are under shady pines with great views all around! The staff was very nice and made us feel at home. Rates are extremely reasonable… tent sites are $20, and full hook-up RV sites are $27.

There is a 5 acre meadow for a relaxing evening stroll, or a healthy jog if you’ve a mind to. They have a play area for the children, and horseshoes for everyone.

The Roost Resort is centrally located to visit the many sights and attractions in The Black Hill’s. The town of Custer is 1 1/2 miles west and the entrance to Custer State Park is about 2 miles east. Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a 30 minute drive, and Crazy Horse Memorial is a 10 minute drive. It’s an excellent base for exploring the area.

Lazy J RV Park is a nice campground built on a hill with 100 mile panoramic views of Rapid City and the surrounding area! We stayed here during 4th of July vacation this summer and had a great time.

The campground features two levels, upper & lower. The upper level accommodates pull-thrus with over 60 sites, and the lower level accommodates campers and tents with over 60 sites. All sites have water and electric, and each site on the upper level also has sewer connections and the choice of 30 or 50 amp electric service. Most of the sites are  paved and fairly level.

There are plenty of trees throughout the property for shade. Amenities included a large heated pool & hot tub, laundromat, arcade/playground, full propane service, groceries, souveniers and RV parts. They also have Wi-Fi, which worked great!

The facilites were clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and courteous. I recommend Lazy J. We plan on returning again this summer.

The base cost just to “show up” is $15. Oh, did you want hookups? Well, those are priced on a “cafeteria” plan. There is a separate charge for each of the following: Water, electricity, sewer, and cable. Strange, but in a way, fair. On the other hand, I don’t know how closely they monitor “whether or not you paid for something versus whether or not you actually used it.”

I stayed two nights, and paid for cable one night, and didn’t the other night. The cable was pretty decent. Without the cable, you can pull in two channels, FOX and NBC, via antenna. No Wi-Fi, but Verizon Air Card worked very well.

The campground is pretty typical, with fire ring and barbecue grill at each site. The sites are gravel/dirt, with some grass between each site. The water connection is goofy. The water connection is dual and is placed between every other site. So, depending on what site you get, your water connection may be on the “wrong” side and you might require extra hose. I would try to avoid getting placed in sites 15 and 40. Both of those sites are near the walking path to the lake. On the other hand, site 15 does have a great view of the lake, and is the only site that does. If you want the view of the lake, then you have to put up with the parade of people going down the path. But if the park isn’t busy, this isn’t a big issue. Bathrooms and laundry were so so….. But I do have to comment on the washers in the laundry; the washers seemed to be larger capacity than what I usually see in RV Parks. For $1.50 on a wash, I managed to stuff a lot of clothes in the washer!

There is a children’s play area. This is a nice park for overnighting. If you don’t tow a car, you are within walking distance of a good grocery store, liquor store (for those that need….), ShopKo, and some pizza restaurants.
