Right at the campground is the “Ocean Lakes Nature Center” that offers exhibits and information on shells, fossils, sea life, wildlife and ecology of coastal South Carolina.

Along the campground’s oceanfront there are large playgrounds and outdoor recreation games like volleyball in the sand, shuffleboard or basketball. You can get the equipment in the recreation office. The Recreation Building is only feet from the ocean and features many activities too! You could actually spend your entire vacation right at the campground… there’s so much to see and do.

If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is not the place to go. Ocean Lakes can be extremely busy during the summer. Campsites are really quite small, with little privacy. The pool can be packed and traffic is coming in all day and night and golf carts are everywhere. At night the oceanfront area becomes “the strip”, and everyone heads their in their golf carts.

Ocean Lakes Campground is in a great location that’s central to Myrtle Beach destinations including “Broadway at the Beach, “Surfside” and the downtown area.

Overall this is great campground for families and campers who don’t mind giving up some privacy for a lot of activity. We did enjoy it and will return… but it does also make you appreciate those peace and quiet campgrounds too!

They had everything one needs to enjoy nature. All their sites are set in among tall pine trees. They have a lot to offer the family… miniature golf, basketball and tennis courts, a big playground, a big beautiful pool, hiking trails… just everything campers are looking for.

The people are really friendly and helpful. I would recommend this park to anyone that wants a break from the everyday grind. It’s close to Townville and to Anderson so that you don’t feel isolated.

It was a wonderful, relaxing experience.

All in all our experience was hassle free, the people are very kind and helpful. The surrounding area has everything you could want within 5 miles… a grocery store and a super Walmart. Clemson University is right down the road so if you like college football you will have a great time here!

It was the most relaxing weekend I have had in quite some time. The grounds were impecable (gorgeous landscaping, tons of lots each situated so the owner will have a fantastic view of the lake), the property manager, Jerry, was super helpful and went out of his way to make our stay great. The clubhouse, including pool, jacuzzi and lounge will be completed by the end of March, at which time I fully intend to return and take advantage of the wonderful amenities. They also have boat rentals as well as wet and dry storage for boats brought by lot owners.

The lake is absolutely beautiful and the resort is in a great spot. Just a boat ride away from the marina and several restaurants. It is also just a few miles from Greenwood, SC which is very convenient if you are looking for a little variety.

Bottom line, Cane Creek Motorcoach Resort definitely got a BIG thumbs up from me and I highly recommend checking it out.

Green Acres is the perfect campground after a long day’s travel – a complete no-brainer.  If you are late on the road, there is an after-hours check-in kiosk. They even have a fenced in pet area so your dogs can stretch their legs.  The bathhouses here are clean – nothing fancy. There is a small campstore if you need supplies.

All the major chain restaurants are close by if you don’t want to cook. From McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC and Subway, to Cracker Barrel, Longhorn and Ruby Tuesday.

The lake is beautiful! They have great pull through sites, fast friendly service, everything we needed was there or nearby. We had a beautiful lake view site. Our dog was welcome… not like so many parks now that don’t allow pets. We take our pet with us everywhere we go. There was a dog walk near our site too.

The park has a store that was well stocked, and they offered LP gas. They sell fishing licenses, live bait and tackle too. We had a picnic table at our site and stone pavers for a patio.

We traveled around the surrounding area a lot while we were there and never had one minute of worry about our RV while we were gone. Sometimes we stayed away from the campground overnight if we didn’t feel like driving back to the park.

We will be back and we tell everyone we meet about it. It’s not fancy but it is clean and a great place to stay.

The resort, itself, is the oldest Class A resort in America and has been kept true to the original island greenery with many old oaks, as well as palms, etc. Sites are lovely with many comforts. There is a terrific pool, clubhouse recently upgraded but with the same atmosphere as when it was originally built, world class tennis courts, well kept paved roads and sites where some have original aggregate and others have beautiful pavers. All have wi-fi and 50amp electricity and water. Most have gardens.

Our resort has the nick name of “Paradise”. My husband and I bought our spot the very first time we visited. You can come to visit too but be fore-warned, you may have to do the same before stepping out the gate to leave, as we did!… some seven years ago.

We enjoy our office staff and work campers and the atmosphere of camaraderie that exists here. If you play golf, you absolutely must come for the fine Clubs on the Island. This is where the Heritage is played each Spring.

The sites with the concrete pads and 30amp seem to be narrower than the gravel 50amp sites. Watch out for the speed bumps located throughout the park. They are so big they have names… Mt. Charleston, Mt. John’s, Mt. South Carolina, etc. so go slow. They’re bigger than they look.

Park staff was very nice and did not hesitate to answer questions or help you out.

There was some traffic noise, but not annoying. We probably would stay here again if we were in the area.

The complex includes gift shops, restaurants, amusements and stores all under a giant metal sombrero that can be seen miles before you get there. The complex also included “Camp Pedro”, a surprisingly comfortable RV stop that we’ve had the opportunity to stay at several times.

Camp Pedro is neat, clean and quiet… it’s really a nice campground and reasonably priced. This campsites are paved and they have great security. The folks who manage the property are friendly and helpful. The campground has large pull-thru sites with full hook-ups.

Easy on/off I-95. Plenty of things to do to keep you and the kids amused and occupied. It’s a great overnite RV stop!

This is basically an overnight stop for most RVers… there aren’t may long term campers here. While the campground is very convenient for I-95 travelers, there’s a moderate amount of road noise… but really nothing that would interfere with sleeping. Personally, I kind of like the distant sound of an occasional truck. I imagine that tired, lonely trucker on the road, wishing for a few minutes of sleep while my head rests comfortably on a soft pillow… but I digress…

While this KOA is just an overnight stop to most, the park is clean, quiet, comfortable and nicely landscaped. The sites are level and fairly large with both shaded and open areas. There is a small picturesque lake on the property that adds to the ambiance. Fishing is free. They also have free Wi-Fi.

During the colder months they operate an indoor heated pool and a regular pool open from May 1 through October 1. All sites are pull-throughs with full hook-up including free cable TV.

This is a great little campground for an overnight stop on your way to or from Florida.
