My hubby and I have been coming to Lake Aire RV Park and Campground since the mid 90′s. The park has been under new owners for 10+ years. We have seen all the changes over the years. The owners have made and are still making improvements.

The staff in the office are the best. All their employees are hard workers and make sure each customer feels welcomed. They are polite in returning a call and get you where you need to the go. If their is a problem, it’s handled as quickly as possible, to make want to you stay a few more days.

The grounds and facilities are always clean and well maintained. The campground is off the main highway, but there is no road noise, just a few trains from time to time. Not always, just a reminder you are close to town.

We were there from July 2nd to July 6th, and took in the 4th of July firework shows. We had a great time. See you guys in a few weeks. Save a spot for me!

Lake Aire RV Park and Campground was a beautiful park located just south of downtown Charleston, South Carolina.

Our kids really enjoyed the playground and pool. We enjoyed a nice quiet night by the campfire. I understand the owners are continually working to improve the park. The park also had FREE Wireless.

We will be returning. We have been to all the parks in the Charleston area and this one was the friendliest, cleanest, and still “natural.”

Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort is a beautiful campground on a barrier island with miles and miles of pristine beaches, numerous restaurants (some are five star others are from one to five), lots of shopping available and almost any entertainment you can think of.

The resort, itself, is the oldest Class A resort in America and has been kept true to the original island greenery with many old oaks, as well as palms, etc. Sites are lovely with many comforts. There is a terrific pool, clubhouse recently upgraded but with the same atmosphere as when it was originally built, world class tennis courts, well kept paved roads and sites where some have original aggregate and others have beautiful pavers. All have wi-fi and 50amp electricity and water. Most have gardens.

Our resort has the nick name of “Paradise”. My husband and I bought our spot the very first time we visited. You can come to visit too but be fore-warned, you may have to do the same before stepping out the gate to leave, as we did!… some nine years ago.

We enjoy our office staff and work campers and the atmosphere of camaraderie that exists here. If you play golf, you absolutely must come for the fine Clubs on the Island. This is where the Heritage is played each Spring.

We were pleasantly suprised when we pulled into New Green Acres RV Park after a long day of driving down I-95.  Although we weren’t expecting much we found a nice little campground that makes a great overnight stopover on our way south.

The campground is located right off I-95, exit 53. They have 106 sites with plenty of shade and they claim to have “the longest and widest pull-thru sites east of the Mississippi”. Well… they are quite large, but we’ve seen a few up north that can give them a run for their money. Sites are full hookup including cable. Amenities include a laundry, swimming pool, a playground, clean restrooms and showers, a small campstore, dump station and club meeting facilities (with full kitchen facilities). They also have wi-fi.

Rates are reasonable: $26.00 electric/water, $28.00 electric/water/sewer, $30.00 electric/water/sewer/cable, and $32.00 electric (50 amp)/water/sewer/cable.

There are several restaurants close by that you can drive to, but other than that there isn’t much in the immediate area. This campground is, however and excellent overnight facility and one that I would recommend to fellow I-95 travelers.

Santee Lakes Campground is located on Lake Marion, and only about 800 feet from I-95, exit 102 (North Santee)

They have 200 heavily shaded pull thru sites and are open all year. Pets are welcome, Their facilities include air-conditioned restrooms, laundry room, a large swimming pool, a sandy beach, playground, lighted fishing pier, boat ramp, game room (with a couple of pool tables and some video games), and miniature golf. They have free wi-fi too. Our signal was quite good from our site. They have a nice little campstore with all the basics.

They are a little close to I-95, but we were never that bothered by the traffic noise. Santee Lakes Campground is a good overnight stopover if you’re traveling thru the area. It’s clean, well maintained and comfortable.

This is a huge campground… with nearly one mile of sandy beach right on the Atlantic Ocean! Ocean Lakes has lots of amenities. “Sandy Harbor Family Fun Center” is part of a 2 acre recreation complex and includes a pool area with sun decks, a game center, a mini-golf course and an indoor/outdoor Cafe. Their “Camptown Center” is in the heart of the campground and features a store, a laundromat, “Center Stage” and “Sandy’s Meet n’ Eat”. They even have an RV Center, a large RV supply store and a service and parts department.

Right at the campground is the “Ocean Lakes Nature Center” that offers exhibits and information on shells, fossils, sea life, wildlife and ecology of coastal South Carolina.

Along the campground’s oceanfront there are large playgrounds and outdoor recreation games like volleyball in the sand, shuffleboard or basketball. You can get the equipment in the recreation office. The Recreation Building is only feet from the ocean and features many activities too! You could actually spend your entire vacation right at the campground… there’s so much to see and do.

If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is not the place to go. Ocean Lakes can be extremely busy during the summer. Campsites are really quite small, with little privacy. The pool can be packed and traffic is coming in all day and night and golf carts are everywhere. At night the oceanfront area becomes “the strip”, and everyone heads their in their golf carts.

Ocean Lakes Campground is in a great location that’s central to Myrtle Beach destinations including “Broadway at the Beach, “Surfside” and the downtown area.

Overall this is great campground for families and campers who don’t mind giving up some privacy for a lot of activity. We did enjoy it and will return… but it does also make you appreciate those peace and quiet campgrounds too!

What a great place to spend some quality time with family and friends. Lake Hartwell Camping & Cabins is privately owned and sets on beautiful Lake Hartwell. I recently spent a week at the park. I don’t have an RV, but it didn’t matter because they had a great cabin for me to stay in.

They had everything one needs to enjoy nature. All their sites are set in among tall pine trees. They have a lot to offer the family… miniature golf, basketball and tennis courts, a big playground, a big beautiful pool, hiking trails… just everything campers are looking for.

The people are really friendly and helpful. I would recommend this park to anyone that wants a break from the everyday grind. It’s close to Townville and to Anderson so that you don’t feel isolated.

It was a wonderful, relaxing experience.

Keowee Falls RV Park has an amazing view of Lake Keowee. The campground has a boat ramp into the lake and storage facilities for boats. They also have playgrounds for the kids and nice walking trails. Their website has regularly updated videos and photos of the campground. Ronnie, who owns the campground, told us they were going to get wireless internet set up for the whole park next month, May 2009.

All in all our experience was hassle free, the people are very kind and helpful. The surrounding area has everything you could want within 5 miles… a grocery store and a super Walmart. Clemson University is right down the road so if you like college football you will have a great time here!

I recently took a little weekend getaway to Cane Creek Motorcoach Resort in Cross Hill, South Carolina and wanted to share some feedback about this wonderful lakeside retreat.

It was the most relaxing weekend I have had in quite some time. The grounds were impecable (gorgeous landscaping, tons of lots each situated so the owner will have a fantastic view of the lake), the property manager, Jerry, was super helpful and went out of his way to make our stay great. The clubhouse, including pool, jacuzzi and lounge will be completed by the end of March, at which time I fully intend to return and take advantage of the wonderful amenities. They also have boat rentals as well as wet and dry storage for boats brought by lot owners.

The lake is absolutely beautiful and the resort is in a great spot. Just a boat ride away from the marina and several restaurants. It is also just a few miles from Greenwood, SC which is very convenient if you are looking for a little variety.

Bottom line, Cane Creek Motorcoach Resort definitely got a BIG thumbs up from me and I highly recommend checking it out.
