The campsites are level and gravel. They have a big store with a cafe for breakfast or lunch. The property has wonderful views of the rolling grass hills all around. The bath house is immaculate.

The only bad things are the bottom of the hill sites do not have cable or sewer. There are several local TV station viewable with your antenna. Wi-fi is available for $3.00 a day. They have a big hall for club meetings and a pool on site.

This is in the heard of Carbon county. It’s a great place for a 3 day getaway. They ask for $2.50 a day more if you use your air conditioner but it’s the honor system.

We were told the weekly rate would be $366 and if we stayed seven nights we received an eighth night free. Great… add a night to our stay! What they neglected to say was if you stay that ‘free’ night you revert to their daily rate of $61 so now seven days with a ‘free’ night costs $427. They don’t volunteer this info upfront and when you check in, it is beyond their 2 week change/cancellation policy.

There were lots of seasonals staying there… even some mobile homes. The campsites are very small spaces and nothing pretty or nice. I would not recommend staying here even as an overnight guest. It seemed like a $20 per night park, but cost almost $40. Also, the Wifi was not free after the first 30 minutes.

Pinch Pond Campground has a great location just off I-76 and a little south of the Pa Ren Faire/Mt Hope Winery grounds.  It’s also only about 30 minutes to Lancaster and its attractions.

The staff is friendly too. Will be back again! We were here in June 2010.

The campground has large semi-level gravel sites with grass borders… and most of them are pull-thrus. There are fire rings and picnic tables at every site and all sites are immaculately maintained. They have full hookups and modern facilities. The wi-fi only seems to work when it wants to or if close to the office.

The staff is friendly. They have a basic camp store. They also have facilities for groups and meetings.  Prices are reasonable. We wre there on 5/7/10.  We will be back again.

There is a downside… the sites are a little on the small side and there is an active operating railroad that runs along one side of the property. I would definately ask for something away from the railroad tracks.

In season there is a shuttle service to Hershey Park… very convenient if you didn’t tow your own vehicle, because the park is quite a distance from the campground and I wouldn’t like to walk it. Even if you don’t want to visit the theme park, I would encourage you to take in the free chocolate tour.

There are always activities for kids and adults. The owners do everything they can to make your camping experience great. This is a pet friendly place too. Their amenities include: a WIFI hotspot (free), a swimming pool, seven catch and release fishing ponds, wagon rides, a kiddie train ride, horseshoes, volleyball and basketball courts, soccer/softball field, a pavilion and rec hall, mini golf ($), paddle boat rentals ($), 4-wheel bike rentals ($), a game room with fun family games ($), and a hiking trail.

They also have a well-stocked camp store with RV supplies, clothes, gifts, groceries, firewood, ice, and propane.

I could never imagine not camping at Brookdale. We love it!

The people working there are helpful and very friendly. They made us feel right at home.

They have over 400 sites, 12 cabins, 27 cottages and 10 lofts. The camp store is well stocked with groceries, battlefield inspired gifts and souvenirs, as well as RV and camping supplies. They have a snack bar with a menu of hot and cold items. The game room has video and arcade games, and air hockey tables. They also have a mini golf course. Other amenities include a whirlpool spa and two heated pools. Located at the rear of the campground is a large heated activity pool and 250ft water slide.

The campground is within minutes of battlefield tours, ghost walks and a new visitor center. It is also located within easy driving to many area attractions in Washington D.C., Baltimore MD., Lancaster and Hershey Pennsylvania.

There are things for all ages to do… We plan on returning next summer!

Before we left home we had a problem with our travel trailer’s propane line… the staff on the phone was so helpful, they offered to help us do the repairs once we got there!

The campsite was nice and the facilities were clean and cozy. They are open from April to November. The campground is located in the middle of all the wonderful things to do in Eastern Pennsylvania. It’s just 20 minutes from Hershey “the Chocolate Town” and HersheyPark. They are only a short drive to the Amish Country, the Pennsylvania Farm Show complex, and the factory tours of York County & Historic Gettysburg. This campground is the perfect home base for exploring this part of Pennsylvania!

Amenities include a stocked catch n’ release fishing pond, a sand volleyball area, a 13 hole minigolf course, horseshoes and basketball court. They schedule lots of activities in the summer. They have a new swimming pool complex.

We’re looking forward to returning there in 3 weeks!

Although each section has it’s own bath house and shower, there is only one laundry area, in the main building. Regardless of where you are in the park, it’s a hike to get to the laundry. The pool is nice, deep end is 9 feet. There are some good walking trails. Interesting garbage arrangement. You put your sack of garbage out near your post and it’s picked up twice daily. The park has garbage bags if you don’t have any.
