There are always activities for kids and adults. The owners do everything they can to make your camping experience great. This is a pet friendly place too. Their amenities include: a WIFI hotspot (free), a swimming pool, seven catch and release fishing ponds, wagon rides, a kiddie train ride, horseshoes, volleyball and basketball courts, soccer/softball field, a pavilion and rec hall, mini golf ($), paddle boat rentals ($), 4-wheel bike rentals ($), a game room with fun family games ($), and a hiking trail.

They also have a well-stocked camp store with RV supplies, clothes, gifts, groceries, firewood, ice, and propane.

I could never imagine not camping at Brookdale. We love it!

The people working there are helpful and very friendly. They made us feel right at home.

They have over 400 sites, 12 cabins, 27 cottages and 10 lofts. The camp store is well stocked with groceries, battlefield inspired gifts and souvenirs, as well as RV and camping supplies. They have a snack bar with a menu of hot and cold items. The game room has video and arcade games, and air hockey tables. They also have a mini golf course. Other amenities include a whirlpool spa and two heated pools. Located at the rear of the campground is a large heated activity pool and 250ft water slide.

The campground is within minutes of battlefield tours, ghost walks and a new visitor center. It is also located within easy driving to many area attractions in Washington D.C., Baltimore MD., Lancaster and Hershey Pennsylvania.

There are things for all ages to do… We plan on returning next summer!

Before we left home we had a problem with our travel trailer’s propane line… the staff on the phone was so helpful, they offered to help us do the repairs once we got there!

The campsite was nice and the facilities were clean and cozy. They are open from April to November. The campground is located in the middle of all the wonderful things to do in Eastern Pennsylvania. It’s just 20 minutes from Hershey “the Chocolate Town” and HersheyPark. They are only a short drive to the Amish Country, the Pennsylvania Farm Show complex, and the factory tours of York County & Historic Gettysburg. This campground is the perfect home base for exploring this part of Pennsylvania!

Amenities include a stocked catch n’ release fishing pond, a sand volleyball area, a 13 hole minigolf course, horseshoes and basketball court. They schedule lots of activities in the summer. They have a new swimming pool complex.

We’re looking forward to returning there in 3 weeks!

Although each section has it’s own bath house and shower, there is only one laundry area, in the main building. Regardless of where you are in the park, it’s a hike to get to the laundry. The pool is nice, deep end is 9 feet. There are some good walking trails. Interesting garbage arrangement. You put your sack of garbage out near your post and it’s picked up twice daily. The park has garbage bags if you don’t have any.

The restrooms and facilities are clean and well supplied. The fishing lake is private so no license is needed… however the lake is very shallow and I didn’t see anyone catch anything bigger than a sunny. They have swimming and a nice sand beach. You can bring your own boat (electric or human-powered only) or rent a rowboat, canoe or paddleboat. The outdoor pool facility includes a diving area and a heated kiddie pool. The resort has four tennis courts, two racquetball courts, a full basketball court and the softball field, which are all lit at night for evening play. Horseshoes and shuffleboard are also available. The kids have five fully-equipped playgrounds to explore.

They also have an indoor pool complex so the kids can enjoy the water during the off-season. The comples features a heated pool as well as a sauna and whirlpool. The resort’s game room has two pool tables and a variety of pinball & video games. The Activity Center hosts ceramics, arts & crafts, spring & fall movies, summer church services, other resort events and a free lending library.

Interior roads are paved and each site has a fireplace, two or three way hookups and cable TV! Big Rig pull-thru sites are also available. We stayed in one of the premium lakefront Sites and had a great time! They also had quite a few rustic sites for pitching a tent.

The resort also has 8 heated restrooms with separate hot showers and dressing areas, 2 laundromats and a very nice, well-stocked convenience store that has camping supplies, including firewood and propane.

We stayed here for the first time last fall and have already made our reservations for this summer!

Driftstone has the most spacious sites. I could fit three fifth wheels in my site. The staff friendly. The security is tight but appreciated. There are plenty of activities and attractions. My only wish is that I owned it myself.

If you want a place to stay that does a great job of catering to your needs, this KOA lives up to the bill. There is a nice little creek running through the property with reasonable access for everybody. Only tents and the smallest of wheeled units will fit creek side.

In KOA fashion, the sites are a bit tight, but big rigs have no problems with the selection of pull-thru’s. The two-way area is a bit more open with opportunities for canopy to canopy sites.

The bathrooms, laundry, store, and rec room are new and beautiful. The grounds are well done. The WiFi connection shuts down randomly, and the cable connections are good.

Gorney Park, Lehigh Valley Zoo, and several wineries are within minutes; New York City, Baltimore, and Philadelphia are within a day drive.

Now about the alcohol rule? It is a good rule that promises a good time for everyone with a good night sleep every night. Children are better supervised with non-drinking parents. If you want to get drunk and loud around an over-sized campfire, don’t come here. If you want a good family place to stay, this is it.
