I stopped and inspected every RV park I encountered with any potential, I was looking for the size motor coach the park could accommodate, (I have a 40′ coach). electrical hook ups, bathrooms club house management and over all desirability.

At Turtle Rock RV Resort, you’re nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Forest and a River, you feel as though your miles from the town of Gold Beach but it’s a two-minute drive. You’re escorted to your space and advised on the hook up procedure and assisted if needed, the resorts facilities laundry and bathrooms are clean and well kept. Staff are Friendly and helpful.

Turtle Rock, Turtle Rock hands down Turtle Rock is my RV Park Of Choice. Price, physical size, accommodations and natural beauty Turtle Rock.

They have Cable, WiFi, and lots of pull-through’s. As it’s name implies, it’s also a truck stop with a McDonalds, a Subway and a small store.
The price was $22. with our Good Sam Discount, $25 without.

The night we were there, the wind was roaring, so I don’t know if freeway or truck noise would be a problem as all we heard was the wind, but I would think if your noise sensitive, you might want go someplace else.

All and all, we would return.

There are no activities here and you pay for the showers though they are quite large and lots of warm water and pressure. The laundry room consists of one very old washer and dryer. The staff is nice but don’t expect them to pick up the phone and you may have to call several times as they aren’t good about returning phone calls.

There is lots to do in the area. We were here in a 5th wheel in August, 2009.

In nearly 7 years of full-time RVing, we have never seen an RV park quite like this… and we mean that in the very best way. Instead of just providing paved streets, or paved patios, or paved parking pads, this park has all three… in brand new solid concrete. That may sound cold at first, but the effect of having everything being concrete (with nice plantings between and around the sites) it that everything is immaculately clean.

The bay here supposedly has some of the best Dungeness crabbing in Oregon, and judging by the number of people hauling in large catches, it must be the case. The park rents out motorboats, and also has a launch ramp for people who bring their own boats with them.

There’s also a large gift shop and convenience store, brand new bathrooms (with granite showers) and the newest, cleanest, most beautiful laundry room we’ve ever seen anywhere.

This is a top-notch stop on the Oregon coast.

All the staff seemed very pleasant, except the managers. We would not go back with the current management there, hopefully their Corporate office will get feedback from their employees and customers.

The park is open year round and has 50 R.V. Sites with 24 pull through’s. Sites are full hook-ups. They have daily, weekly & monthly rates. Daily rates are reasonable… $31.85. The restrooms, showers and other facilities are clean and well maintained. They have an on site laundromat and propane sales. Wi-Fi is also free with full-hookups and they have an instant phone service available for a small fee.

The property is terraced, so you don’t have to look into your neighbor’s window. You look over the top of the RV next to you. It’s a nice walk down to a park next to a river. Moon Mountain is a good stopping point on your way south down I-5 toward California.

The campground only has 34 sites… 14 full hookup and 20 tent sites. They have very clean restrooms/showers and a wonderful host. The campground is in a rustic setting and they have very reasonable prices. There aren’t many amenities. It’s just a nice place to relax.

It is a good central point to explore the wonderful scenery of Oregon. A short trip to Crater Lake, Klamath Lake, Fort Klamath, and Colliers Logging Museum all invite you to enjoy history and beautiful scenery.

Here the charms of the Columbia River and Pacific Ocean practically lap up on your doorstep: fishing, beachcombing, kite flying, whale watching, sand-castle building and clam digging. You’ll find all the necessary equipment in the KOA campground store.

Astoria/Warrenton/Seaside KOA also offers an ocean of activities, like the three-day Blues by the Sea festival right on their own stage. There’s fun year-round – and, like Lewis and Clark, you’ll feel like you?ve made a major discovery.

The sites are all paved and pretty level. The campground is in a beautiful setting and the hosts were very friendly. If we lived closer we would only visit Oregon state parks!

If you like the feel of camping with the convience of RV resorts then Loeb state park and Oregon is the way to go!

This campground sits in a “bowl” so with at least 100-150 campfires going every night, it was impossible to breath. Park rangers very unconcerned about noise and dogs. They said they had no power to do anything about it even though it is written on the camp regulations sheet you get when you check in. Camp hosts(8 of them) are powerless too. All they do they told me is “pick up things”. Between staff and hosts there were 18-20 people there all day and each one claimed they could do nothing about barking, unattended dogs or enforcing quiet hours. They all go home at 5pm so, there is no one there to enforce quiet hours.

The bathrooms/showers are very old , very dirty and in need of repair.

If you have children that you want to let literally run wild 12 hours a day, come here. It is perfect. If you want any peace and quiet at all while camping stay as far away from here as possible. We camped here in a tent trailer with our dog (whom we did NOT allow to bark !).
