Cactus RV Park - Tucumcari, NM
Cactus RV Park is a nice, clean campground on old highway 66. The Old motel at RV park is on the national register of historic places.
The campground is easy in and easy out to highway 40. They have Wifi to all sites and they are working on cable TV to all sites. The campground owner […]
Trailer Ranch RV Resort - Santa Fe, NM
We recently stayed at Trailer Ranch RV Resort. This park is very difficult for an RV to manuver. There are several buildings to try and avoid.
The management here requires your tow vehicle to be taken off at the front gate. During our stay we found the management (owner) to be very unprofessional and the staff […]
Mountain Road RV Park - Tucumcari, NM
Mountain Road RV Park is a nice little overnite campground. It’s convenient to Interstate 40 (Exit 333) and the town of Tucumcari. The campground is a little dusty (but everything is around here) but it’s clean, quiet and well maintained.
The park has about 50 sites, mostly pull-thrus, and they can accommodate larger rigs. The staff […]
Cactus RV Park - Tucumcari, NM
It may not be anything to look at, but Cactus RV Park has shade in the summer, cable TV, and free “security enabled” wifi. The price is better than any “Passport America” can offer and the owners are very friendly and accommodating.
If your looking for a great place to lay-over for the night, drive […]
Cactus RV Park - Tucumcari, NM
We liked Cactus RV Park. They had long pull thru sites which was great for us. The park offered good cable reception. Electric service was good as well. The campground had killer WIFI… it worked great!
Carlsbad KOA - Carlsbad, NM
We just got back from spending a few days at Carlsbad KOA… What a great resort campground!
Calsbad KOA appears to be fairly new and the entire property and facilites are clean and well maintained. The park owners are very friendly and seem to have taken great effort to have a very attractive, well designed facility.
Cactus RV Park, Tucumcari, NM
We found Cactus RV Park in Passport America. We were pleasantly surprised since it was rated a 3-Stars in Woodall’s. It’s certainly not the fanciest, but very clean and the campsite is pretty spacious.
I noticed that the other campers were all new, large units, so we felt we were among good company. New Mexico has […]
Hacienda RV Resort - Las Cruces, NM
This is a lovely campground! The facilities are clean and the property is well maintained. We camped here in our brand new fifth-wheel last weekend.
Even though many of the southwestern campgrounds we have stayed at are wide open with little privacy, this campground has some more mature vegetation between the sites which helps greatly. […]
Turquoise Trail Campground and RV Park - Cedar Crest, NM
We stayed at Turquoise Trail Campground in October, 2007. I was a little wary of staying here because they do not have a website, but we wanted to stay away from the crowds of Albuquerque. I was pleasantly surprised! We were escorted to our site upon arrival. The directions they gave me to the campground were great (it is a little off the beaten path).
The showers/bathrooms were somewhat older, but very clean and accessible. We loved being close to the mountain instead of on an asphalt parking lot.
River Ranch - Red River, NM
River Ranch in general is a nice place. The Red River runs through the middle of the park and camp sites are available along the river bank. The river looks clear and clean. Nice clean bath houses too. But the park is run like a German WW2 internment camp. Guards were always asking what I’m doing there, even just after taking my money for a weeks worth of payment. I felt I was harassed by the owner for walking through park one morning. He wanted to know why I was walking through (I paid for a week. That’s 7 days).
