Sandy Beach RV Resort - Contoocook, NH
One of our camping friends recommended Sandy Beach RV Resort to us this past winter so we decided to give them a try a few weeks ago. I must say we were quite disappointed.
First of all, if you have a larger rig you’ll find it extremely difficult navigating through the park. This appears to be […]
Hinsdale Campground - Hinsdale, NH
We’ve been looking forward to visiting Hinsdale Campground at Thicket Hill Village ever since we found out about it at a Camping/RV show early last spring. They also have a great website, which we visited several times before finally making reservations for a long weekend.
Hinsdale Campground is located in the southwestern corner of New Hampshire, […]
Danforth Bay Camping Resort - Freedom, NH
Danforth Bay Camping Resort appears to be a relatively new campground located in northeastern New Hampshire near the Maine border.
What a wonderful place to stay! Although we stayed there for a week last fall, we didn’t want to leave. The campground has great facilities, well maintained and very clean. The staff is friendly, courteous and […]
Hampton Beach State RV Park - Hampton Beach, NH
Hampton Beach State Park RV Campground is a small RV-only park located directly on the Atlantic Ocean on NH Route 1A in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire.
The campground itself is nothing special… gravel roads, no trees, no shade, no amenities, but plenty of cool breezes off the ocean. In fact, most campers leave their awnings up… […]
Mi-Te-Jo Campground - Milton NH
This campground has a friendly well staffed crew. If you have children it is good to know there are no activities for them but they are on a lake with beaches, fishing and boating. They also have a well kept rec hall, newer equiped play areas and more. There is no problem keeping the kids […]
Old Stage Campground - Madbury, NH
I was surprised to see the other review of Old Stage Campground. I have been camping for over 30 years with my family and friends. Every year we ( along with 9 other couples) would go for seven trips to different campgrounds and campground resorts. Two years ago we went to Old Stage Campground and […]
Old Stage Campground - Dover, NH
We’ve camped at Old Stage Campground a number of times over the past several years and found the small family run campground enjoyable under the direction of Arnie and Pat Redfearn. Arnie was always available and willing to answer any questions. He would immediately provide a camper with assistance and treat everyone with respect […]
Eastern Slope Camping Area - Conway, NH
Friends of ours were staying at Eastern Slope Camping Area in Conway, NH. They invited my wife and I over for dinner one evening. There was a sign that said all guests must register at the office. It was 8 PM so we stopped in at the office and the owner said there would be a $5 per person fee if we wanted to see our friends and that the gate was locked at 11PM so we had to be out before then. I told the owner I thought this was ridiculous policy, but agreed to pay. I also said I would tell other friends to avoid the campground in the future.
Pine Acres RV Resort - Raymond, NH
Pine Acres RV Resort has totally gone downhill. There is no security, the bathrooms are not very well maintained and the staff was not very friendly. They nickle and dime you to death. If you have older children expect them to try and get you for a visitor rate for them to the tune of $12.00 per night. I would not recommend this campground to my friends.
Crown Point Campground - Strafford, NH
We went to Crown Point Campground recently with friends who go once a year. We found the campground to be not too big which was great for watching the kids. The sites were clean and the restrooms were very well maintained. The sites are large… with some private and some not so private. The management enforced the rules with was nice, especially at night.
