She welcomed us when we drove in and quickly invited us to the Fourth of July BBQ and Fireworks show that the park was having. I had forgotten to send a document from my computer that had to be emailed before midnight and when I couldn’t make my computer work, she loaned me her wifi stick, which wouldn’t work in my computer. This was after loaning me a golf cart to drive around and try to find a stronger signal. When nothing worked, she told me about a WiFi McDonald’s 4 miles down the road and insisted that I use her personal car to go there so I could email my important document so we would not have to use our motorhome. Upon our return, the residents of the park gathered near the food, she blessed the food, and we had a great meal, followed by a stellar fireworks show.

The campground has great drive-through sites, with plenty of room. The park is very clean. They have modern laundry facilities and the clean pool was a big plus, besides the hospitality of Mary, Will, and the many long-term residents of the park who quickly made you feel like “family.”

On a scale of 1 to 10, I give Paradise in the Woods a 10+ and pray that the rest of our RV park experiences are 1/2 as good as this one.

They have social hour at 4 pm. The staff is very helpful and informative about the area. I would highly recommend this park if you are visiting the Branson area and would like to be away from the noise and bustle.

The property is heavily wooded, and private with large spaces between campsites… it’s quiet and pleasant. None of the sites are full-hookups but quite a few have electric and water. There is a dump station on-site and very clean restrooms/showers.

Indian Point Campground is about 5 minutes from Silver Dollar City and very close to all Branson attractions. We had a very nice time here and would highly recommend it to any of our friends.

The campground was on the lake for boating and fishing which was wonderful and it was clean and neat; however, the spaces were closer together than they appear in pictures. Had it been a busy season, we would have been disappointed with so many campers so close together. We had planned to stay from 5/10 until 5/15 but out stay was cut short. We were not informed about the underground electrical work that was scheduled right behind our 5th wheel. The office staff was also unaware this work had been scheduled. While we were gone our electrical power was turned off. We “could” have lost all our refrigerated food had we not had an automatic switch to propane to keep things cool. Since the work (involving a 3 man crew and backhoe) affected all the full hookup sites, we had to move to another campground in the area after only two nights.

Everyone was apologetic and we did find another campground nearby that was very nice. Had this been two weeks later, another campground with an opening might have been impossible to find.

This campground is located off I-44 at exit 70 and is close to all the attractions of Springfield as well as a short trip to Branson. In fact, driving from Springfield was much more relaxing and enjoyable then having to fight all of the traffic if one was staying in Branson. The park is well maintained and has many trees and great landscaping that make it the ideal retreat from a long day on the road. Every site is a pull-through so arriving is easy and relaxing.

The staff at the Springfield KOA is incredibly friendly and helpful and catered to our every necessity. The campground has a great store with everything one needs to have a memorable camping experience. In addition, there is a pool and game room as well as a playground to keep any youngsters occupied. The park is also equipped with Wi-Fi as well as a traditional modem port.

My wife and I highly recommend Springfield, Missouri KOA. The Ozarks has much to offer, from the sights of Springfield and Branson to the solitude of the many lakes and rivers in the area. There is truly something for everyone and anyone passing through would do themselves a favor to stop in at Springfield KOA.

Musicland is a gated campground (you must have a card to enter) with a friendly, knowledgable staff. The campground has about 100 sites with some pull-thru, full hook-ups and free cable TV.

The entire property including the facilities are clean and well maintained. Interior road are paved and the sites are level and a comfortable size. If you have a big rig, it’s a little hard to navigate because the interior roads are a bit narrow but the staff will guide you into your site. They have got a nice little campstore with groceries, camping supplies, local gifts and crafts. Rates are reasonable too!

We’ve camped here twice and both stays were very enjoyable and we plan on going again this summer. I think Musicland is the nicest campground in the Branson area.

They have a nice clubhouse. The pool is only 5 feet deep. They have no cable tv, but there is good reception of digital network channels. The WiFi worked very well! I was exhausted from driving so I didn’t get to check the laundry and bathrooms.

Oh my, a sign! Outback RV park, 2 blocks away! I drove to it. Oh my. Seven spaces on grass near an alley behind the buildings on main street. I saw some local towns people, so I inquired as to whether I would be safe. I was assured that I would be safe. I called the “after hours” phone number on the sign, only to get voice mail. I left a message that I was there, and I would pay if they found me.

I finally located the owner at a local community fish fry (which I attended) that happened to be occurring that night. I paid, and he told me he didn’t have any receipts. If you arrive during the day, you pay at the local hardware store.

Now, for what you get. Park has 30 amp and 50 amp, and sewer. There is only one water faucet, a community one. That’s pretty much it. I wouldn’t enter the park from the street, there is a slight rut along the street. I would go into the alley and drive anywhere on the grass from the alley. (This might be cumbersome if you have a toad.)

The park can accommodate big rigs, but it might be cumbersome having to come through the alley. The neighbors next to the RV park have a barky dog that you may have to put up with, and trains do shake the ground. But for $15 (price as of this writing), you can put up with this for one night.

Warning, I did get some occasional power surges on 30 amp. Verizon Air Card barely worked.

This is way too loud for us old folks. I’m not likely to stay here again.

The tenting section was a very nice grassy area but had no extras. All campsites had a fire pit including the sites in the tenting area. The restroom facilities are average, clean but nothing to brag about. The rates were less than $20.00, which seems like a very good deal.

The town of Osceola was within walking distance and the campground is located right on a lake. We saw 10+ lb. catfish and were told they have been caught over 50 lb!

This makes a nice overnight stop or it could be an enjoyable week or two place to do some fishing. I recommend it!
