My Brother’s Place - Houlton, ME
My Brother’s Place is a small campground very near the Canadian border, located just off US Route 1, about 2 miles from I-95, exit 302.
The park is clean and well maintained. The sites are large with plenty of room and most are pull-thrus on grass. The campground has plenty of trees but the sites themselves […]
Paradise Park Resort - Old Orchard Beach, ME
Paradise Park is a nice little campground located about 4 miles from I-95 (exit 36) and less than a mile from Old Orchard Beach. The sites were full hook-ups but a little too close together (but that’s typical of most campgrounds in the area). Our site was fairly level and shaded.
The campground employees were […]
Skowhegan/Canaan KOA - Canaan, ME
We visited the Skowhegan/Canaan KOA last summer for 15 nights. This is one of, if not the best campground we have ever stayed at. This is not a booming area but enough to keep you busy. You can do day trips to the coast, etc and explore the many area towns and parks.
Our hosts Don, […]
Searsport Shores camping Resort - Searsport, ME
This is a very family oriented campground. Everyone here is very friendly. I enjoy walking on the beach. There is also a game room, basketball court, playground, and rec hall. Youngsters can play dress up, watch tv, read a book, etc.
There are all sorts of activities pot luck suppers, dances, bonfires, etc.. Looking for something […]
Hermit Island Campground - Bath, ME
Hermit Island Campground is the best place for people who are looking to camp right on the ocean. There are plenty of campsites, which are set in the dunes by the beaches, on the buffs with ocean views, or in the peaceful forest.
Hermit Island has eight beaches for swimming, plus biking, boating, fishing, and more. […]
Wells Beach Resort - Wells, ME
Wells Beach Resort is located right on busy US Route 1 in the heart of the popular Maine southern coastal area. Tucked away on a relatively small parcel of property are over 200 sites.
Traveling up busy US Route 1 Wells Beach Resort may be a bit difficult to spot… just keep your eyes pealed for […]
Bayley’s Camping Resort - Scarborough, ME
This campground is made for families! Our annual summer trip to Maine often includes camping at Bayley’s Resort.
This RV resort is relatively large, with over 400 sites. You’ll find sites in wooded areas, in fields and near their pond. Depending on what area you’re in, sites can be close together or fairly private. Full hook-up are available and include cable TV. The general store is a fairly good size with a limited selection of groceries and camping supplies.
Keenes Lake Family Campground - Calais, ME
We feel that the owner of this campground was very rude to us. We booked a trailer rental with a full bath and when we got there it had no bath at all. The ceiling was falling in and the trailer was flooded. The public bathrooms were not very well maintained. Due to the rudeness of the owner I don’t think I will ever go back.
Wild Duck Campground - Scarborough, ME
Wild Duck is an Adult-only campground (not even any visitors under 21 allowed) beside the Scarborough Marsh. The park is very quiet and clean, with a helpful staff. It is near Old Orchard Beach and some great seafood restaurants.
Red Apple Campground - Kennebunkport, ME
We recently returned from Maine after camping at several campgrounds. We switched from our originally booked one that was entirely in the forest and ripe with mosquitoes (Salty Acres near Goose Rocks Beach). We drove around for half a day checking out other campgrounds between Ogunquit and Biddeford and finally decided on Red Apple Campground.
